Infiniti 15000 service
johnc replied to vjmalhotra's topic in Infiniti General Discussion Forum in UAE
In real fact Nissan/Infinity service centers are very good and professional i think because they have too many cars here so their service dont get rusted. keep up the good job. -
Check the brake drum first. If on high speed you encounter lil vibration while braking check the brake drum/ disc thickness and if its too low then get it changed asap.

Car stalled all of sudden at speed of 110kmph on hatta oman road closer to Dubai, as if there is no fuel and not starting again. No crank, no light, no jump start helped. Completely DEAD. Put on recovery sent to workshop. Discovered that anti theft immobiliser wiring got short circuit and car thought its thief who is driving and shut everything down.....!

Before you bought a car, you have been sold piece of bullshit advise. I personally know so many cases that different region software and OS wont work in other region for sure. Secondly dealers here treat US or any other spec car than GCC treat like a criminal activity. Everytime you will go for service from watchman to workshop manager will use US specs 100 times in one sentence to make you feel its a sin you have done. Only reason i found for this huge disparity is that they didnt made any money in sale of US spec car and hence want to discourage ppl shipping it here. They just service those cars as they are obliged and anything more you ask, they will say we dont have manual, we dont have wiring diagram, we dont have instruction for US spec. SIMPLE FO on your face answer you get . I have gone thru this once and realized it. So im sharing my experience. Easiset way to get opinion is to drive to naif market in deira where aftermarket GPS shops are there. They can advise you if its really possible (chances are slim) no harm in trying. If not they can also offer you in dash replacement nav that you can buy in quarter the price of buying from dealer. Dealers main objective is to not update to GCC maps is to encourage you to buy in dash NAV system from GCC car for 10k bucks.......! How dare you enjoy Infiniti M37x without paying 30% cut to dealers here......Now you getting my point.....!

Try disconnecting the battery wait for an hour and reconnect it. See if now you can remove the key -
The navigation screen went off and dont know why?
johnc replied to ukaal's topic in Infiniti Q70 Forum in UAE
the panel itself has to get changed in my opinion. -
Cange CKPS, Crank Position Sensor.

If the problem is with the theft warning system, then the system is controlled by the Smart Entrance Control Unit, which is located on the left side of the steering column.

car stalled in the middle of the car
johnc replied to lawjerer's topic in Infiniti QX50 Forum in UAE
May be due to alternator failure it has stalled and so far it was running on battery and once battery fully drained out it stalled. -
Check and top up the gear oil if its low. If level is fine, than i suggest better change the gear oil and gear oil filter.
-
Its usually around 100k u shud be changing it, dont wait until it snap as it will be very costly otherwise to repair. If in doubt better get it changed than feeling sorry later on. If experience power loss on climb it cud be timing belt getting weak or slipped.

Check the key fob (remnote), may be some knob of it isnt working. It cant be battery of remote
-
There is no quick fix to this, better get crank seal seal if thats the culprit as it is quite usual one. Or else keep topping it up do not to hit low level.

advance tech problem.....

may be the fob needs cleaning, its not touching the battery properly.
