  1. if your starter is not working properly then your car must not be starting at all? is that the case?
  2. Jack up your car from the tire you think is causing the noise. check the tread area to see if your tire is worn out. worn out or unevenly worn out tires from the front and rear can cause an unpleasant noise. If you know which tires is causing noise, try changing the tire if you have a spare. see if the noise continues... good for a quick fix?
  3. Yes you can check the bearings i.e. clutch bearing, wheel bearings and hub bearings. Metal burning smell is usually caused when these parts are worn out or as well.
  4. Well said there Habib. Rampal while you are at it, check if the serpentine belt needs replacing, its worn out condition was once the problem for me which caused a smell coupled with a noise which went away after I had it replaced.
  5. Hey there! thanks everyone and especially habib ... there was a problem with the accelerator due to too much usage. The dealer spot the problem in an instant and i got it fixed instantly too! Sigh of relief.
  6. The cars samar have mentioned are very different and cannot be compared with one another. But the bmw and audi options are better in terms of performance and usage. Anyways, coming back to the infiniti JX, the vehicle IS worth the price since all the reviews I have read suggest that this is a highly reliable vehicle. The interiors are fresh and spacious and the engine specifications are not at all bad. I guess we can conclude that it is a personal choice.
  7. Hi guys, This is something very minor that I noticed recently and since i have never had this problem before with any other car I don't know what can be the issue ... I have a 2010 infiniti and it accelerates even if i do not apply pressure to the accelerating pedal. it goes up to 10-20mph as soon as I set it to the drive gear (without acceleration) ... this might not be a big issue but can it develop into one? Am I the only one?
  8. Infinity is a well built car having such problems maybe your car is not taken care of or is too old.
  9. when is the last time the filters of the car were changed. it can be due to that . also dont brake to much or change speed too much that also affects.
  10. Thats a nice method of using Lizol, it sound it should work. I hope it does. Interesting info. Thanks Daved.
  11. there are a few issues that i am looking for an answer for where is the fuel filter located and are all brakes to be changed at the same time. answering them will be very helpful.
