  1. Its a CHECK for viscose fan for 10 seconds. Its normal, its the way car is designed to do self test for few critical things at start up.
  2. It shud be done after 100k at any major service of 100k, 110k or 120k.
  3. Didnt know its common in landie. Though what i know and what can help u probably is its very very very common problem in BMW and that too in X 5. So search guys who fix BMW X5 or read bmw dubai forum, im sure you will find something helpful there. Good luck.
  4. LANDROVERS are not known for overheating, thats american cars u must be getting confused with. I had 2002 discovery for 2 years, drove almost all weeks in desert and never overheated once. Check coolant level and any antifreeze is fine or even water. But water gets rust in radiator but give better cooling than coolant. So for testing water is good and then fill up with coolant for long time. Check all fans main (clutch fan) and Aux for AC and overheating is working fine and cutting off from time to time. Check thermostat or change thermostat when in doubt. Its cheap. (dont drive w/o thermostat). If after all the above still car overheating, then ur engine head is very slightly bent due to previous overheating and need to open and face the head and change the head gasket.
  5. remove battery and reconnect and give another try. If not then it need to be open thru computer by forcing override control. AAA, or 4x4 motors have LR computer.
  6. You can take it to AAA garage or A2b garage, they both are good in dubai (Al quoz). Or else Al beaa (George) or Al Nakhila (Ismail) garage in Sharjah very famous for landy owners, They both are behind BM road.
  7. Dont change to manual, u can get motor and full seat wiring assembly from scrap. Its not usual failure.
  8. Check the hose behind the washer it might got disconnected and thats why motor is pumping fluid and its dripping from byumper instead of from wiper. Or also try pinning the washer jet holes, they might be blocked. and due to back pressure its leaking from hose.
  9. It looks bad ignition solenoid to me or may be whole ignition.
  10. Ignition coil and radiator is actually stays POLES APART in discovery, exactly opposite to each other (very far). Mechanic is bull shitting. See someone else. Secondly if radiator is cracked, is there is any noticeable or fine leak have you notice or reduction in coolant level? If not DO NOT CHANGE THE RADIATOR. If yes, still get second opinion.
  11. Check for overheating in traffic or noon time, it could be the cause of restricted performance. May be need coolant, or radiator is leaking or some fan isnt working properly. Keep an eye on temp gauge.
