  1. Hi Hero, Found the software and the way to do it - a copy of the DVD from another car doesn't work because there is an authorization code for it. Found a workaround to make it successfully!!! (from a source) The Story : I added my Chasis & Engine No in the Lexus GPS Software and then a DVD is written - this is to avoid piracy from other cars & it will only work in your car. The best part is that I have all models with all years available after it. Incase you have any model who are interested then I am game... Now, incase you need it - shoot me an email on [email protected] with Subject Line GPS Update for Lexus. In the Matter please type your Chasis & Engine number and in 1 day will prepare the DVD for it. Cheers! GB
  2. Nope haven't got any person as yet - would let the blog know once there is something...
  3. You don't have any idea and that's why you are wrong. Sorry for being blunt!
  4. Dear All, As a fact I know that the GPS which comes in IS300 gets updated either 1 Version or 2 Version's depends on the model IS300 GPS Details 2006 - 2008 - This one was the first Version - 2D only 2009 - 2013 - This one is the Second Version - 2D & 3D plus. The new GPS update package from Al Futtaim is 3,000 AED. Incase if anyone already owns a 2012 IS300 I am ready to pay AED500/- for the update by making a copy out of it for my car. How to remove etc - all details I have - It would take around 1 hour for entire process. No we don't have to open the engine or dashboard - it the GPS Settings - there is a DVD which we just eject and whoila its out! I can get my laptop and make a duplicate of it and that's it. You earn 500 in 1 hour. Let me know if someone interested to share. This is only for my personal use and not for commercial purpose. Cheers GB
  5. Thank you Jeh - Very good tips and very nice initiative... Another Tip : I had my Windows Open and usually to close them we start the car and then close it. I had it closed by holding the Lock Door Button for 5 Seconds and keep it hold till all your windows are closed... Whoila! You have got it closed. Click on the Display Button near the GPS on the dashboard and you if you touch the screen top & bottom atleast 5 times(its like touch it up & down very fast atleast 6 times) - the Diagnostic of the System will appear and you check you speakers, Amplifier, Music, GPS - if all are ok or needs cleaning or servicing. This is something that one of the Lexus advisors taught me... We open the cars by touching the handle - when you leave you don't need to take out your remote - press the black rubber button on the handle and it will close. Cheers! GB
  6. Hey Guys, Got my Fuel Filter changed and the Problem is vanished. As said earlier by Brad it is located under the Back seat and right behind the Driver Seat - Its like a big hole you need to slowly unscrew and whoila its out and replace with new one - got the alerts to 0 - and now a smooth ride. Thank you all, GB
  7. Thank you Brad for a very good reply and you seem to be extra Knowledgeable. My request to change the same is that early morning when I start the car there is an instance where the engine is almost gasping for Petrol and then comes to normal. I recently went to a Garage call Kamran in Al Quoz and he plugged in a Computer to check it and it showed an Alert Error - Fuel Filter Primary Circuit. However, the garage person didn't know where it was and hence skeptical to give it to them or do it myself. Then I went to Sharjah and bought the Fuel Filter Assembly Filter Kit for AED 290 which is costing in Al Futtaim for 490 AED. Kindly advice me a garage incase you have any to help me. You kind assistance and help would be blessed for my gasping breathless lexus. Thank you once again for your support! Cheers GB
  8. Dear Lexus Car Enthu's, I would like to know if anyone has got their IS300 Fuel Filter changed. I have checked through a computer connected to the system and found a fault that the fuel filter is choked and has to be replaced... My worry is that any garage you ask they look at the underhood but rather its placed within the tank and I am not confortable with a Mechanic who doesnt know where is it...I would like to know a garage who has a computer to find out and has experienced in fitting the fuel filter. Would be obliged and grateful if someone could guide me on the IS300 2008 model. Regards GB
