  1. No you don't have to replace it if it is dirty, there are cleaners available to clean it thoroughly. What you can do is take it out and clean and and place it back ... just make sure that you are aware of how to do it since the last time i did it, my car started having idling problems. However at that time I was cleaning and operating the throttle body and the IAC control sensors. The problem might have been associated with the IAC as well so can't say for sure.
  2. What makes you think you need to replace it? any visible problems?
  3. Alex ... seriously? Naveed ... I had the same problem when I first bought my 2003. Firstly, let me assure you that it is not a major issue at all. Now for the solution - Park your car slightly uphill and start the ignition with the radiator cap off. Leave the heat on high but the fan on zero. Once it heats up turn on the fan and squeeze the upper radiator hose until you do not see bubbles in the radiator anymore. You may also need to thin down the fluid by adding some filtered or distilled water. I will not recommend using tap water as the eclipse system is too sensitive. You can add it directly to the radiator and just let it drip off. Hope it helps. Let us know.
  4. According to my experience, if the engine is not getting as much air as the MAF thinks it is, then it is probably a vacuum problem. See if the problem lies here and trust me ... im experienced here
  5. Salaam I recently bought a second hand Grandis I had one small inquiry to make. There is a button which I do not know about and would like someone to help me out with it. There is a heat switch behind the steering wheel which I have no clue about. Does it have something to do with the car's heater system? Like a shortcut key? AH
  6. Hi! I bought a grandis and have a simple question. There is a facility in this car that I need to be turned off. When i start to drive my car ... the doors automatically lock by themselves ... yes it is a really good functionality but I want it turned off or at least want to know if it can be turned off so that i can do so when required. Searched the manual ... cant find anything relevant. help?
  7. Have you checked the fuel tank of LWB, if its any bigger that should fix just fine. Other than i wont recommend as it might involve too much customization and uncertainties involve. You are better off buying 2 x 20L Jerry cans for that once in a year day.
  8. a. What is the best tire pressure front and rear? 15 PSI all around is good, if you really stuck then defalte to 12 PSI for self recovery. If you continue drive at 12 psi, then make sure dont take high speed turn or else tire will pop out. b. Which Transfer shift lever position I need to use, 4H, 4HLc or 4LLc? Plain beach sand: 4H, decent desert drive: 4HLc is good, if you stuck or need to tow someone: 4LLc c. Which gear is best 2nd or 1st gear or all-time D? D is all time good for drive, if stuck or in deep sand you can drive at 2nd gear or even in 1st gear. If you drive manual then make sure you keep switching gears often to not to strain any one specif gear. d. Which range of acceleration is best? High range is advisable, Lo range only for self recovery, towing, or making impossible climbs.
