  1. This Dodge demon is crazy f*&*&(*
  2. RTA has done the discount on fines in 2018 for first time after 2014/15, I don't this its a regular feature and even if they plan to provide a discount expect somewhere mid of the year than in begining.
  3. What does Infiniti means and why it's spell differently with I instead of Y?
  4. Any clue what's the price of Dodge demon in UAE?
  5. Well, the way I see this can make a hell of profitable investment for someone want to build solar panel based charging system every 200 kms that literally run on autopilot for years.
  6. Good points covered and I would say stick to Car than SUV is better as per your needs and plus secondly the most important part is recently fuel has increased too expensive, so affordability will be better in Car than gas guzzling SUV. In cars you can decide on three major category: - Sports, Salon/Sedan or Luxury depending your like and budget.
  7. Hi Nathasha, how are you doing and welcome to car world in Dubai. Good to see some girl taking that interest in discussing Cars. Tell us more about yourself to advice accordingly. I had both SUV and Cars and I love and hate both depending on different need and timing.
  8. Any suggestions or upgrades available to make bloddy Pajero AC as strong as Toyota SUV, In extreme heat it just work but not work fine or sufficient to keep the car cool especially in stop and go traffic. Secondly after starting the car it takes about 15-20 minutes to get the car cool and by the time I reach home with sweating back. Discussed this matter several times with Habtoor service advisor and seems like they give blind eye and deaf ear to this issue and show me the car AC cooling under their covered workshop. I am looking for some type of idea to upgrade to expensive quality AC Gas (freon) if it exists for better cooling? Or increasing the AC power supply that can make it work harder and provide better cooling? Or anything reasonably doable to improvise Pajero AC cooling in Dubai extreme heat at 42 degrees and above......? Thanks.
  9. Adil, you seems to have a very valid and best point, that 2-5 dhs is not worth wasting so much time and fuel again to go and refueling. +1
  10. It's 75% times a brake pad replacement with skimming the disc will get the job done. In 25% you will also need a disc replacement. For checking disc health you need a proper thickness measuring tool or an expert eye to tell, usually it should be in range from 5-6 mm minimum thickness. If you car wobble slightly on extreme hard braking then disc is due to change.
  11. What a headline Gulf News made man.......! (Time will tell). New fuel price to boost UAE economy and reduce cars Petrol price for cars with 4 cylinders will increase on average by nearly Dh18 a month, Ministry of Energy says http://gulfnews.com/business/sectors/energy/new-fuel-price-to-boost-uae-economy-and-reduce-cars-1.1557612
  12. Message is simple guys: Spend all your earning here and don't send any money home. With this upcoming price rise will also hit the overall inflation and affect resident in all possible ways. My two-cents.
  13. My Pajero started an idling dance recently and showing fluctuation as below actions: At Start: 1000 RPM With AC: 750 RPM In Gear: 500 RPM - 750 RPM constant rapid dancing Although I wouldn't have noticed this, but it stalled my car once when it was cold and I moved immediately from parking and took a u-turn and it stalled in middle of the road. Appreciate if someone can advise what is wrong and what needed to be replaced.....?
  14. My car is shutting off randomly. Why?
  15. Hey people. Can anyone tell me hwo much is the fine for breaking the traffic light. Last night, i broke the traffic light and drove on the red signal. Not really sure, how much the fine be? Please guide.
  16. What does it mean by Powertrain codes?
  17. Manual A/C, as the name suggests needs to be adjusted manually. When you need A/C in your car, you put it on and adjust the temperature as you need. If you feel cold, then you manually adjust the temperature again. The temperature switch basically is connected to the HVAC inside the air conditioner panel. So when you decrease the temperature, it opens up the window to provide cool air from the AC. When you increase the temperature, the widow closes decreasing the air from the evaporator. Automatic control system is actually complicated. The temperature control system handles the heating and cooling temperature at the same time. Its bit complicated as well when it comes to understand the mechanism of the same. Basically the system detects the temperature inside the car and sends signals as if temperature needs to go up or low. This complete control system works upon your desired temperature you have chosen in your car. These days, I heard that some cars have dual auto zone automatic temperature control system. It means you can adjust the temperature in your car in such a way that each air conditioning panel can offer air with different temperature. It means if you need cooling air on the drivers A/C panel, you can have that. AT the same time if you want different temperature setting on the passenger side, it allows you to do that as well. Really interesting. But since it provides so much of luxury, its bit expensive as well when it comes to maintain or service the temperature control system with dual zone system. But don’t think that A/C works independent of the outside temperature. Even if it’s automatic, the outside temperature plays a very crucial role in the increase and decrease of the temperature. And talking about UAE, everybody knows how weather is here! Every car needs proper level of coolant in their cars.
  18. Fuel System is like a heart to the car engine. The fuel system basically delivers the fuel in the complete car system to function. The fuel system is crucial and that’s why need proper attention. Sometimes rash driving also causes issues with the fuel system. I know some common problems that one faces in the car because of the fuel system. Engine Sputtering: When engine suddenly starts sputtering at high speed that is because of issue in the fuel pump. Fatigue fuel pump is the cause of it. When there is loss of pressure in the fuel pump, the engine starts to sputter. Lost power when accelerating: Fuel pump needs to maintain an amount of pressure to deliver the fuel when accelerating the car. Sometimes the fuel pump is unable to do that. When it regains the pressure, it speeds up with acceleration. Engine surging: This is also very common when the fuel system doesn’t work properly. Engine doesn’t start: When the fuel pump is completely malfunctioned, the fuel does not reach the engine to start it. In all these problems, the fuel system either needs to be fixed properly or need to be replaced depends on the level of malfunction. But yes, ignoring the fuel system issues is foolishness. So if you think you are facing any of these troubles, then may be your fuel system needs attention. Sometimes just understanding what fuel pump does avoid lot of problems. To avoid any severe issue with the fuel pump, it’s always recommended to give your car for regular servicing. In regular servicing, the fuel pump is properly scanned and diagnosed for any issue persisting or any near future possibility to get any issue. That’s why we say; handle your car with care. It’s a machine not magic!
  19. Paint chipping is a common issue with Kia brand. My friends say the same thing about tha paint. You can claim against the dealer i guess.
  20. They di tire rotation in my car and then did tire alignment. I suppose its fine now. I dont feel the same issue any more.
  21. Horse power! Alright. Me and my friends have done lot of DIY task on the cars, it’s kinda hobby! And most of the times it was successful as well. I tried increasing the horse power as well. I know 2 ways to increase the horse power in the car that I and some of my friends have tried. And it worked too! Cool! Basically, to increase the horse power in the car, there should be more combustion in the engine. Now the combustion depends on the mixing of the fuel in the engine. Now the role of the cool-air is to get the more air into the cylinders that will get mixed with the fuel. Now the cool air is more dense, and that’s why the mixing of fuel is better and better is the combustion and so is the horse power. Exhaust: The catalytic convertor pipes should be tuned in such a way to the exhaust tubing that it should remain straight at the bumper to the back of the car. If one does that, the exhaust gases can be emitted easily and there is space for more air and fuel, which means better horse power. Actually these are really cheap ways to increase the horse power of your car. Believe it or not, it does work! I got the exhaustion thing done in my mustang, and trust me; the power of the car is really amazing. Also, try not to switch on the heater in your car that puts lot of load in the engine and the horse power constantly decreases with that. The more you keep your cool with air, better is the horse power. Also make sure that your tires are always aligned properly, somewhere the misalignment of the tires also affects the horse power of the car.
  22. In simple words, turbochargers give better power to the engine. Exhaust gases makes the turbocharger work in a way that it helps in increasing the engine power. Turbochargers pump the air in the combustion chamber that ultimately helps in powering up the engine. Many people think that Combustion is inhaled only by the fuel, but it’s not true. The combustion is injection by the air also which is then mixed with the fuel in the engine. The reason why air is injected in the engine is because it helps in burning the fuel than normal condition. The atmospheric pressure inside the engine goes really high than normal when the air comes in. And off course, more the fuel is burned better is the performance and higher is the power of the engine. But it doesn’t mean that turbochargers are always good for the engine. Off course the main benefit from the turbochargers is that engine can produce more power just by the air itself which is a natural phenomenon. But the biggest disadvantage of turbochargers can be seen in any sports car or high power cars. When you accelerate the car, the car doesn’t catch the speed at once but takes a second or two to catch up the speed. This is because turbochargers delays the time of reaction when one tries to speed up the car. Also, the turbocharging efficiency in the car obviously add some other cost into the vehicle and ends up to be expensive than normal vehicles. Also, the engine of such cars is more complex than the normal cars. So if there any issue with the turbochargers or engine pops up, it really makes a huge difference on the maintenance cost of the same. That’s why people say; go for powerful cars when you know you can afford it. The main hidden cost of maintenance in such cars is because of the turbochargers functioning.
  23. In that case better you get it replaced from an outside workshop rather than your dealer. Your dealer will charge you a lot of money to replace the gasket and labor charge too.
