  1. Yes you are right. The hitch receiver goes in the same slot as the ball hitch. You can share the photos if you wish as well. As long as they are not a distraction to your focus, it should be fine. Children need to be belted with appropriate child / booster seats as per their age.
  2. Due to limited participation, this drive has been cancelled. We have another FB+ drive on Saturday which still has some space available incase you wish to join. Will plan this drive some other time. @Mohit Gurnani @Mohammad Sayawoush Azad please acknowledge this post.
  3. DRIVE PLAN Plan is simple. To hit every monstrous dune in Sweihan with tons of ridge riding, side sloping, and action packed fast paced driving. This drive will provide you with the right amount of adrenaline before the start of the Eid Holiday. 4. Thanks @Davie Chase for a brilliant drive. Loved the pace and the ease with which you took the convoy through. Look forward to catching up with you on your next drive.
  5. And I used to keep saying Abraca Dabra at the gate for it to open. 😂
  6. What is the lift on your vehicle? Typically the drive shafts can tolerate a bit of lift, like in my XJ I have a 2.5 inch lift and the drive shaft has been working fine for the last 6 years. But I did drop my TC a bit a to reduce the angle.
  7. This is the first time I have joined your drive @Davie Chase and it was an absolute blast, right from the briefing to the beautiful route that you took. Loved every bit of it. Everyone drove amazingly well especially in the middle session where the whole convoy was driving in a fluid motion. Look forward more such adventures.
  8. Fantastic evening Fredy. Though I have not heard much of the Queen songs before, it was really great to have such a special screening. The atmosphere was even sweeter with all those who joined and danced yesterday night. Looking forward to the next Sonic night. P.S. @Frederic by then please learn a bit more on the history and steps of Kolaveri Di and Sheila Ki Jaawani.
  9. Congratulations @DP1011. So when are we having the Paani Puri Drive?
  10. To reiterate what Fred says, driving on 4L for extended periods of time at high speeds around 60-70 kmph is definitely not advised from a car manufacturer itself. If you regularly drive at 4H, you will learn how to build the momentum to scale any level of dunes. It will be a different driving style compared to the guys driving at 4L but there is nothing that you can't achieve in 4H compared to 4L. If anything your planning and dune approach will be far better if you practice in 4H. Plus the clubs that strongly recommend driving in 4L are backed by garages that are more interested in repairing the car that you have damaged.
  11. Mostly the tyres or the wheel bearing for the noise upfront. Regarding the clatter noise check your number plates bolts if they are loose.
  12. It's definitely not OK to drive on tarmac in 4H Part time at 100km/h. The central differential gets locked 50:50 between the front and back. I also did that once mistakenly for about 80 km as the lever was stuck halfway before I realized the error. Lucky for me there was no damage. Hope the same goes for you as well.
  13. But you will have an excellent view of the every hour fireworks at Global Village and Town Square
  14. Convoy Numbering We will be using Carnity Channel 3 tomorrow. See you in the morning at 6:30 AM
  15. Thanks for keeping me informed. We will wait till you have an update on your Jeep
  16. @Frans M @Gary F @Mahmoud Taha @Anoop Nair @Gok Krish @Cristian and WL members @Gurcharan Mehta @Ashutosh Garg @Zed @Bjoern The Meeting point has been updated. For this weekend I have planned the drive in 3 sections which would be a mix of rolling dunes, along with some technical patches. So expect some fast paced action. P.S. To all the IM signups, the drive will be a FB+ 😅
  17. Thank you @Frederic for one of the best drives I have been a part of. The terrain, the weather, and the drive participants were simply amazing. While driving through so many different types of terrain including certain portion of tarmac, I was continuously appreciating your suggestion to drive at 20 psi. It would have been a real pain to inflate and then deflate after every terrain. Ofcourse, driving in Abu Dhabi sands at 20 psi, would have been a gross insult to that terrain, so mother nature did a very good job of getting us all stuck. But once we were deflated a bit lower it was smooth sailing for the entire convoy. Both me and Kabir really enjoyed the entire drive and we hope there is another version of this drive in the near future.
  18. @Zed I plan to scout a different area in Sweihan, something that I have not done often. But what's a drive in AD, if you don't have Zeddy sweeping your convoy. 😅 See you on Sunday @Dariush Eghtedari this is a Fewbie+ drive and you need to be of that rank or above to participate in this drive. As you would be driving first time with a club you can join a Newbie Drive. There is one planned for this weekend. Link is provided below
