  7. One of many advantages of living in UAE is exploring off-road nature and its beauty. Everyone of us must have been to desert once in a while and admired the scenic beauty what UAE desert has to offer. From desert safari trips to weekend dune bashing we have enjoyed desert dunes and natural wildlife to the fullest. Every year due to so many visitors, off-road life start loosing its balance when we start leaving things behind from our plastic bags, bottles, cans, bbq foil, broken car pieces etc which are non degradable items that the nature cannot take care of itself. This garbage left behind kills many animals every year. Due to limited reach of municipal authorities to go inside the desert and clean up, every year off-road clubs organize these desert clean up drives. Emarat4X4 is conducting desert clean up drive which aim to save the wildlife of UAE by collecting this non degradable waste from desert. This year EMARAT4X4 has extended a brilliant invitation to all volunteers who drive normal saloon/sedan cars or SUV without desert driving experience to provide the free pickup and drop from the desert entry and exit point. Emarat4x4 crew and marshals will provide continuous non stop pick up and drop to all volunteers wishing to join this clean up drive. Drive will have sufficient sanitation and protection gear for volunteers. This drive will be covered by media channels (print, online and TV) and will provide plenty of freebies to motivate volunteers to come and join for this noble cause. DRIVE DETAILS Date: Friday 8th March 2013 Time: 8:00 AM Meeting: Emarat Petrol Station at Shj-Kalba Rd Coordinates: 25° 14.062'N 55° 34.448'E Exit : 11:00 AM Interested volunteers please contact Mr. Rahimdad Kidwai at 050 6749099, he is the Chief Event Coordinator of www.emarat4x4.com and supporting "Volunteers In UAE" for this great cause to save wildlife in UAE.

  14. Hi Bianca Good luck with your drive. I hope you have read our Banner message that we aren't supported or affiliated with Nissan or any of their dealers in the region here. So your chances are quiet slim to get any advantage or reply from Nissan ME from this post here. But being a Nissan enthusiast you are truly in a right place for seeking any help in planning your drive. I am sure you must have planned so many things for this drive but always make sure to carry plenty of consumable spare parts that you might need on following kms service intervals. Or research if countries you are passing thru have same Patrol like GCC specs there. Diff lock and other recovery tools is good to have in your back pocket, but not really must unless you go serious off road (Sand / Mountains), for tarmac drive healthy and maintained engine is KEY for this type of drive to keep you rolling. Good luck with your drive. As a Nissan Dubai owners community we are happy to welcome you and support you. Cheers.
