  1. Blackarmadadxb I test drove the car with the mechanic who did the clutch work, and he said that these clutches should last at least sixty to seventy thousand which really do not sound like a lot to me. My Toyota pickup has been running for more than a hundred and fifty thousand and there are absolutely no problems with the clutch. Why would I have TWO clutches go bad in less than thirty thousand?? I have been driving manual vehicles for over forty years and this is the first problem I have ever had. Sorry, but this IS a problem with the vehicle.
  2. Hkakash Wake up and smell the flowers man. My '06 is a manual. And your bad luck theory just makes me laugh. Period.
  3. Dixon If you had to suffer the way me and dragonheart have, you would certainly have felt differently about ranting Nissan.
  4. Ozimandius That is exactly my point. As of yet ... I do not know of any ... but there should certainly be one. They have recalled thousand of vehicles all across the Middle East for multiple other issues, but not on this.
  5. Dragonheart My '06 Xterra was delivered brand new in early '07. The first clutch gave out in less than ten thousand. The dealership repaired/replaced it as it was under warranty and they agreed that it was a bad part or maybe even a design flaw. Then at twenty seven thousand and four months out of warranty, it happened again. The clutch just would not engage. Had it towed to the dealership to find out, rather surprisingly, that they need to replace the clutch again. Hence, in less than thirty thousand, I had the clutch replaced twice. Who would say that this is not a quality control/standards inspection issue?? There is no way that I could have gotten Nissan to pay for it since it was out of warranty. I second you as far as never buying a Nissan again is concerned. I know how you feel. Having said that, I totally disagree with the people who are quick to bash the driver/owner as soon as there is an issue like this. Some people just want to play the devil's advocate all the time. How can you judge another person's driving when you have never seen them drive?
  6. i thought so and yes they do look pretty well worn and a little loose. So far I have had no problems with my car starting or stopping. Does this mean i might start having some soon? Should i look into it or ask a mechanic? i wana be among the lucky ones who fix a problem before they happen!!
  7. hi yesterday i was doing a little inspection and cleaning under the hood and noticed that the terminals on my battery are a little worn out..they seemed a little loose as well like flimsy but i am no expert in this area. is this of concern?
  8. Hi there, You probably would have to call the guys at the showroom to find ... you can probably get this information over the phone so shouldn't be any hassle. As far as I believe the built-in navigation system is not bought separately. It is included in the cost of the car. Lets double check just to be sure!
  9. Good mechanics follow this procedure: 1. Drain all the coolant out 2. Fill it up with distilled water and let it run with the heater on 3. Shut the car down 4. Fill the radiator with the funnel in it 5. Fill the reservoir again and turn the car on and the heater on 6. funnel will drain and thts about it
  10. my brother's Pathfinder had exactly the same issue. he got the the radiator fixed before it totally screwed the transmission. NOTE TO ALL PATHFINDER OWNERS: get your radiator fixed before this happens to you because one day it will.
  11. hi benson, i know exactly what u r talking about. this is basically a radiator problem. several fluids get mixed in the transmission causing it to get contaminated. i hate to tell u this but u should brace yourself for some major repairs.
  12. every time i reverse my Alitima not moving but changing the gear to R i hear a cluck noise form the gear or i am not too sure. what is this noise and what is causing this ?
