finding VW parts is not an easy task i advise you to place an order for the part and wait.

Hi everyone, Recently my 2004 model VW polo AC is not at all cooling like before. Today afternoon picked the car at 4 pm and drove for 20 mins to back home and car AC didnt cool at all. It was acting bit funny few days back ytoo, but today it was so bad that i restarted AC and car 3-4 times thinking something might work, eventually have to open windows little bit and drive. There was nothing unusual in car or AC at all in past. In last service, we changed brakes and engine oil that i am sure has no connection with AC in specific. Mechanic advise us to get all fluids and changed/checked in next visit that supposed to be done after 3500 kms atleast 3 months for me. what should i do now, any quick fix or great idea as summer is right round the corner and i am scared of driving in such a heat with AC. Please reply soon.

VW if bought new and maintained well, atleast 80k -100k you can get trouble free life. I had new polo in 2001 and i sold that in 2009, after 2006 i started feeling that car is getting old and tired.

Your car tuning is out (seems like). Have you or you mechanic finger anything in ECU or reprogramming, otherwise these thing doesnt happen of its own. very strange.

If im not mistaken it needs change every 20k kms, double check with nabodah guys.

there is no specific age or km. if you pick car and feel jerk, or while idling feeling the car too much inside the cabin then get it check if mounts are broken or not and change if required. It can run for 10 years w/o any issues.

Get that warning clear by computer, thru good mechanic and reset.

Get central locking device checked or replaced if its old car. You are very right it cud be very dangerous in future. Not good.
