  1. @Gaurav, it is certainly an interesting outcome, but for the benefit of the naysayers, can you please keep us posted on the long-term effects/results of this water treatment- especially with regard to oil consumption over the next couple of thousand kilometers?
  2. Hi guys, Does anyone here have experience with OBD II code U0123? The ABS light on my 2012 Camry came on, and my mechanic tells me that the code means "Lost communication with the Yaw Rate Sensor". What does this mean exactly, and how is it fixed, if it can be fixed? I don't want to pay a fortune to have this fixed, but is this dangerous since the ABS light is on? Any advice?
  3. I was just wondering if the competition has received any entries? Come on guys, surely nobody is seriously thinking of not supporting it, or not wanting to win a free car makeover?
  4. This is probably a dumb question, but why are spark plugs different? Why can't all engines use the same plugs? Here is how I see it- since sparkplugs are meant to supply a spark to ignite the fuel, why did my mechanic insist that I had fitted the wrong sparkplugs to my Camry a few days ago? He said I had fitted plugs of the wrong heat grade, but I did not notice a difference in performance or fuel economy, so what was the problem, and what did he mean by "heat grade anyway? Can anyone here please explain that in simple language?
  5. Hi guys, I must admit that I am not a fan of off road driving, but this past weekend I went along with a friend who wanted to see how his (almost) new Jeep Grand Cherokee performed off road. I must also say that I was not impressed, since it seems that on loose sand that brakes don’t work. According to my friend, the ABS brakes on his Jeep work fine, but if they do, why does it take almost twice as long to stop on sand that it does on a solid surface? To my mind, it seems likely that one can drive off a cliff before the ABS brakes can stop a vehicle on loose surfaces, which makes off road driving an unattractive option, since it can be dangerous. At least, that is how it looks to me. Can the off road experts here perhaps explain to me why the brakes didn’t seem to work on a loose surface, since I was under the impression that the function of ABS is to decrease stopping distances?
  6. Good day guys! Just came across this forum, and I hope someone can help me. I have recently bought a used 2011 Audi Q5 (2.0T engine) with 102 000 km on it, but it seems to use more oil than fuel. The dealer who sold me the car says that this model can use up to 1 liter of oil for every 1000 kms, but this seems excessive to me. They are refusing to do anything to solve the issue. Does anyone on here have any experience with this model, and does it really use this much oil? Is it normal to have to carry a can of oil with me all the time? Any help or advice would be appreciated.
