  1. As far as i know early models are having the SBC brake system issue. After facelift at 2006 they changed the brake system.
  2. Thanks for the advice Gaurav. Was your friend having this car recently? How happy he was with it and do you remember what was the milage on it?
  3. This is my one of the old dream. I always wanted a W211 Mercedes E class. Now having some back pain problem reminded me that my Xterra is far from being comfortable and my SLK200 is horrible on comfort. This flamed up my willingness to buy a Mercedes E class. Why W211 well i can buy something newer but i feel like W211 was the last quality built Mercedes E class. W212 models are having button fading issues etc which doesn't fell like Mercedes quality anymore. Is anyone experienced these cars here in UAE? These are super reliable cars at Turkey or Europe but conditions here are questionable. My W171 2009 SLK200 holding up super well so far. But i got if first owner full Gargash serviced car which will be very hard to find nowadays. If anyone doesnt know W211 is the code of Mercedes E Class between 2002-2009.
  4. Than if you have space i suggest to separate your daily driver and off roader. If not you can look for Y61 Patrol Super Safari, Wrangler JLU, Toyota Prado 4.0. These are fantastic options to have as daily driver with big space + good weekend toys.
  5. @Simon Hope i suggest you to join @Gaurav`s and @Frederic`s drives and see how they are managing their small vehicles. They have everything ready in their car they might ever need in the desert. It will be hard to find something better than 3.6 JK for desert usage.
  6. If you planning to go serious with off roading dont get one. If you are planning to stay in fewbie level than it will be good to have. You can see non of our Experts or Marshal`s drive that kind of vehicle. For dune off roading smaller the wheelbase better the car.
  7. Dear all seems like there is a muddy water puddle at the meeting point. Please see below sketch and try to follow green line while entering the meeting point.

  10. Sorry you can't join until you reach the fewbie+ level. There must be a glitch that shows you waitlisted. Once you come up to this drive level I will be happy to have you in the convoy but please start with absolute newbie first.
  11. Hi @Mahmoud Taha you are new in the club. You are not allowed to join Fewbie plus level drive. I have to remove you from the list. Please join to the Absolute Newbie drive.
  12. I have similar basic Xterra. I did 45.000km in last 17 months. It is nice vehicle to use both daily and off road.
  13. If i was you i wouldn't go further with a truck which impossible to disable to side airbags. In Fewbie + or Intermediate level sooner or later those airbags will deploy. You can buy a good off roading car with budget of 25-50.000aed and keep this bad boy for daily.

  16. I personally dont think you can find a nice condition Patrol on that price range. You can get a Pathfinder 4.0 very low km 2014-2015 model. It will come under your budget. If you make a 2 inc lift and small trim on front bumper you will have an amazing off road and daily car.
  17. I would definitely take that car to another service to take their ideas. Habtoor might have not checked it properly. Don't tell them someone told you to change the shocks just tell them about your sound issue and lets see if they are also saying the same thing.
  18. You have done the skid plate. This is all you need for fewbie. Later you might consider bumper cut and thats all you dont need anything else.
  19. @John VanderbleekHi John i haven't notice before but you are fewbie. You are currently not eligible to join this drive. I have to remove you from the RSVP. Sorry for that. Note to everyone. Because of a technical issue on my car i wont be able join this drive. Drive will be lead by @Srikumar and @Mehmet Volga as 2 convoys. Later today they will announce the convoy numbering.
  20. @John Vanderbleek i missed your post, sorry. You also added to the drive.
  21. @Mus_hus78 @Warren Flay @munkybizness @Amir Amiri @ShereenMK @Adhir Saxena All of you added to the drive. Thanks to @Mehmet Volga he accepted to lead the second convoy.
  22. I am totally agree with Sri. 14psi is taking too much from you. I personally drive on 10psi with my Geolanders. I only ha pop out once which was totally my mistake i slide to the bump. With gearbox, i never drove a LC100 but in Xterra i will always keep it at 1 from the start let it scream, let it go till the rev limiter.
  23. Even if it is 212 HP. @Mehmet Volgais taking his 190hp Pajero to top of Super Bowl with the experience he has. Which was looked like impossible to him when he was less experienced. I am sure this LC100 can do amazing things as well. If it is well maintained and if the driver have enough experience. I believe Shereen all you need is time to understand how to find best line, how to get best out of your car.
