  1. great fast paced drive, @Simon D...good to meet up with @Cha - after quite a gap and drive again with @Amir Amiri.

Good job by @Alphin Aloor , couple of scary maneuvers at the first half of the drive but later came to terms with his Y61

i hoe you managed to fix your Fuel tank guard )

not yet...since this is the second time i'm damaging one, thinking of a metal guard. 🤞

  2. although had to cut short midway due to Gaurav's car issues, we had a great drive with enough time to play around, flattening maximum ridges and criss crossing our way through...a short convoy enabled us to try different things which would normally be difficult with long convoys...see you soon on another adventure @GauravSoni and @Santoso Marjuki... probably the one being contemplated by GauravSoni 🙃😉

Some of the ridges were bumpy but fun nonetheless. @Sunil Mathew on that photo looks almost as if trying to take off:

thanks @Marek_was003 for that shot...yes, it really looks like i'm close to lift off 🙃:D

thanks to @Ale Vallecchi for posting this drive...returning to badayer  and the 2 popular bowls, once in a while after driving in sweihan etc will really put things into perspective ...we covered all the interesting sections in the area to end up at shuwaib 👏👍

and the afternoon was not that busy , allowing us to visit most of the dune summits

hiding from each other sometimes behind the dunes 😄

thanks to jeeps in the convoy @Gurcharan Mehta and @Cristian , showing off their low end torque :D and executing climbs as if they were in a morning walk , forcing @Marek_was003 and @Hugo to always drive with utmost respect :D  elongating the convoy in the process , we ended up breaking the convoy at times causing some confusion to re-group.

nevertheless, i believe we got our fair share of adrenaline filled enjoyment in the dunes

    see you all soon !!

  4. nice short smooth drive @DP1011... the 2 hours duration was the USP of the drive for me :D ....you succeeded in making the most of those 2 hours , taking us through lot of fewbie level challenges in terms of climbs, drops and ridge rides.... good to meet @Rohit Deginal @JohanE and @JERINE_B for the first time and drive again with @Faraz94 @Andrew John Melvill @Premjit Vappala @Mohammad Sayawoush Azad - thanks for the insta tips, and @Rk ram...

Looking at comments above, i believe everyone got a real feel of how your cars behave on top of churned ridges and in the process learned to keep right momentum and not zipping through ,giving correct steering inputs according to the ridge lines, adjusting your car "sway", holding your car steady and square on the broad ridges...etc...keep practising and as you progress, the dunes get taller,  ridges get sharper and are very rarely flat  - you either go up or come down  :D ...so tune your minds !!!

Everyone drove really well leaving myself and @Rajiv Sam very little to deal with , 👌👌👍👍👏

see you all , probably on the next Ramadan series from @DP1011 🙃

  6. Hello @J-P L  and @Dariush Eghtedari , welcome to Carnity offroad club. As you would be driving with us for the first time, please help us with answers to  questions below ,

  7. A slightly chilly morning  and a perfect newbie drive by @Kailas  !!  - we managed to do the skydive loop as a first part and then cross the E66 , navigating some bushy areas and ending at Qudra, covering close to 53Km in 3hrs, 45 min , impressive for a newbie drive, with enough and more of newbie challenges thrown in .  Am sure that all drivers got a taste of their cars doing different angles on dunes, straight crossings, some drops, approaching a downward slope etc.

@Pramod B -  the absolute newbie among us on his first desert drive had an issue with his flag before we even entered the dunes which was promptly sorted out with some ingenious quick thinking by our @Davie Chase incarnating as the  offroad handyman :D.. Pramod has promised to get it sorted before his next drive!  Pramod , you went through some weird refusal/stuck situations which were sorted out by yourself by carefully listening to instructions provided over radio. Appreciate your presence of mind and adherence to instructions which is critical to solving such situations. Hope you understood what landed you in those situations and that you have taken  home some pointers to implement on your next drive. See you soon , taming that powerful Pajero!!

@khlief in his grand cherokee drove without issues , except for a crest stuck. As we discussed, be a little gentle on gas, as i could see your wheels spinning and kicking up sand a lot of times. It comes with practice, don't worry too much on that, keep driving and get to know your car better. Also, i appreciate that you always sought clarifications on the radio about whom to follow when the convoy order was temporarily shuffled/rerouted due to recoveries, rather than assuming something on your own. (Ps -  Remember to get a spare radio or battery 🙂)

@rroker Rizwan and @EbrahimZAF driving behind me had no issues whatsoever, hope you guys enjoyed the drive and see you on our next adventure. One pointer which i can offer based on what i saw is to straighten your wheels when coming down a slope. Always remember - "wheels pointing down".  "Do not slide into the slope, drive into it".

@TIMMY  driving your expedition through the desert even on a newbie drive is no mean feat . I could sense your increased confidence after the drive yesterday. Keep driving and get to know your car better.

@Deepak Eswar - thanks for helping out with support functions

@Frederic118 @Sameer D. @Abdul Hannan @Tatsiana Chase  - hope you all had a wonderful drive at the tail end, see you soon.
