Brake booster squeaking
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
sure. But as the video suggest, a little TLC can be done. By removing the bolt and cleaning up the spring etc, and changing the o-ring. Just need a bit of assistance... Anyone in abu dhabi willing? -
Brake booster squeaking
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Hello @Gaurav i hope you are well. Just i can take a video of the noise etc, but I have already taken it to my mechanic who pointed out exactly what was wrong, and assured my my braking system is fine. It was only after this i decided to see if there was a solution for the noise, which is how i found FJC video. Although i am not 100% sure, I believe the principle would be the same as what the video suggests in terms of cleaning, but it would be great to be accompanied by someone with more experience under the hood... and with tools. -
Hello all i have been hearing a squeaking noise coming from the brakes on my pajero. Turns out it’s a squeaking noise coming from the brake booster system. the good news is, is that it doesn’t affect the breaking system in any way. But if I wanted it to stop squeaking, then it would cost a lot to replace the assembly system. i did see some video on a simple fix on how to stop the noise on an FJ cruiser. I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar with a Pajero? Also, I don’t really have any tools etc, so would there be anyone in Abu Dhabi, willing to help me with the above?

Pajero AC stopped cooling
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
A bit of an update on this. It has been 10 days since i got my car regassed, and until now it is still blowing cool air. Could there still be a possibility there is a leak? -
Pajero AC stopped cooling
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
The lights started blinking as soon as I collected it (but not continuously) but after a few hours and until now, they have stopped. I still have cool air blowing. what could this mean? -
Pajero AC stopped cooling
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
I took it to the garage and had the AC inspected and re gassed. They couldnt find a leak in the engine and after the regassing it now works again. However there is a chance it could have been leaking from the motor under the dashboard, but i opted not to have that check due to the labor charge. If the AC goes again within the next few days then the leak must be coming from under dashboard. After i picked up the car, the lights did start to blink for a bit where @Fuadmentioned. but have stopped. @Fuad can you explain what this could mean? -

Hello All Ive noticed that the AC on my Pajero has stopped cooling and is also making a whistling noise. Can anybody suggest what might be wrong and if there is a simple fix? If not, can anyone recommend an AC technician in Abu Dhabi. Thanks Lewis

Thanks guys! We were too busy being scared to film the good bits so the video makes the drive less exciting. But there will be more! cant wait to come. Thank you all for your kind help. It is truly amazing when people put time and effort into something they are passionate about. -

Pajero Diff lock blinking
LewisCocks90 replied to Praveenmp's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Hello I just thought i would add to this. After my recent servicing and works on my 2006 Pajero, i experience the same symptoms (Central light blinking after short amount of driving). After searching through the threads to find a solution, I found the problem which was a very simple fix. The vacuum hose had come loose. Just thought i would add to this thread so we can compile easy to understand solutions for this common issue. -

Nice. I have posted a couple of times already regarding some advice on my Car. I recently purchased it last week. It is a 2006 3 door Mitsibushi Pajero GLS. It has been in the workshop straight away for some minor works. (changed timing belt, new brake pads etc). It has over 200km on the clock but its in good condition. Looking to learn and practice with this vehicle. I already purchased some accessories such as tow ropes, Jump cables, and a 12v Tyre compressor. This is my first car in the UAE and first 4x4, so i have a lot to learn. No real experience with off-roading except some minor stuff with a friends FJ cruiser when I lived in Jeddah. If there's anything else you can recommend then please let me know. I would also be accompanied by a friend on Friday.- 31 replies

Hello, @Rahimdad I am debating if I should join on this meet up on friday! (I am based in abu dhabi so it does require an early start for me). If I was to join I would be an absolute newbie, having not being behind the wheel on a 4x4 drive before. Do you recommend me joining on this particular trip? Lewis- 31 replies

Pajero Hints, Tips & Tricks!
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Hello @Srikumar, thanks for the reply. I did see this meet up for friday and was thinking about attending, but my car will still be in the workshop i believe. How often do the meetups occur? I will definitely plan to attend on the next one. -
Hello Again so after purchasing my 3 door 2006 Pajero, I found a garage which i am happy with to do some works (Timing belt change, disk pads, brake skimming, major service). The next step is to learn from everyone about dos and donts for owning a Pajero, general advice etc. For example I have a list of things to do already: 1. Buy a 12v compressor 2. Buy a decent FM/bluetooth trabsmitter 3. Drill into my top glove box which is locked! If anyone can suggest some accessories to buy, comment on the above items for recommendations, and just general tips and tricks for owning a 3 door Pajero. I also which to take the car off-road, even if it is just mildly, for a bit of fun and practice. Any advice regarding this would also be great. Regards Lewis Cocks

2nd Hand Pajero - Timing Belt
LewisCocks90 replied to LewisCocks90's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
If anyone can recommend a garage for Pajero Servicing in Abu Dhabi. That would be great! -
Dear All, thanks for letting join! I am based in Abu Dhabi and I am about to buy my first car in the UAE which will be a Mitsubishi Pajero PETROL 3 door 2006. This was the second Pajero I looked at, and Overall I am happy with the car and Price. After a Test a drive, I arranged for it to go to a mechanic for inspection. He told me Overall it is in good condition for its age and should last a while (My aim is to have this car for 15-18 months). There are a few minor repairs which I will get done such as the coolant hose replacement and brake pads. The mechanic also recommended changing to the Timing belt and has detailed as follows: Timing renewal, with parts and labour including water pump and thermostat - 3500 AED I am wondering if 3500 AED is a fair price, as this is considerably more expensive than the cost in the UK for the same service. Can someone recommend another Garage which offers the service at a lower price, or is this a fiar price? Regards Lewis cocks
