I'm feeling down and I don't know what to say, today is a really sad day to lose you and Lorenzo.
I will miss driving with you and I will miss a lot of enthusiasm.
I appreciate your feeling and your lack of acceptance of being attached to the many rules, as it is in the end a hobby and a time for fun and escape from the rules of life.
I think these rules affect us as members of the group, by changing the rules of the promotion. I hope the team and management will reconsider these rules soon.
I will really miss your encouragement on the radio when you say yalla
Good luck in your next journey hope our paths cross again.

I think you might have me confused with Angela😄

  2. Saying farewell to Carnity,

I am saying farewell to all of you with a heavy heart.

I am grateful for all the lessons learnt and all the nice people I have met and I will cherish the memories. From the very first drive I was hooked, learning the skills and meeting like minded people, getting to know some of them a lot better, making new friends. It felt like I belonged.

Leading drives is a lot of fun, but I never lost my enthusiasm for helping Newbies find their feet in the sand. That is why, I still loved supporting the Newbies and Absolute Newbies or assisting Richard on some Master Classes.

As a volunteer, I tried my best, but I feel I have to abide by more and more rules, which means it is becoming more of a chore.

I enjoyed my time with Carnity and loved the community spirit, but I am no longer feeling it.

I wish to the whole @Carnityfamily, especially the Crew, the Marshals, the Advisors, the Support Team and all those members that I had the pleasure and privilege to meet and drive with, all the best.

I will keep driving in a different form and I hope our tracks may cross again.

    Best regards, love,

    Marjan, aka Jeepie

The area around Pink Rock was completely different today. Some of it easier than normal, but with all the tracks that seemed to be cemented on the slopes, we had to be a little careful and sensible. We still managed to climb the dune next to Big Red, but Big Red itself was too bumpy with way too many tracks. I think we managed to do quite a nice route with some less travelled dunes that some of you thought were technical. Believe me, they are not! (you should have come on my drive last week Sergio) With the sand being so firm side sloping was kept to a minimum, but KKIRAN still managed to get two pop-outs on different occasions. Christening my new jack and making sure we all know how to deal with a pop-out now. I think everyone did well, but remember, next time the sand might be soft and completely different. Thanks to Santoso, Topgear and Rsjiv for the support.

See you again in the sand soon

  7.

Congratulations to all of you for completing this drive. It wasn't all easy going and we did quite a bit of technical dunes.

The start was relatively easy and allowed me to see how you were coping with side slopes criss-cross and ridge riding. It is fair to say I was impressed and wanted to challenge you a little with some technical. I must admit we did a bit more of that than planned, but you were all doing so well that I felt we could push it a little bit more. After the first stuck we started struggling but we made it out to have plenty of time left to play a bit more in the wider and higher dunes towards Solar Park.

Made some of you work hard and sweat a little😜

Thank you @Imteeaz for keeping the rest of the convoy safe when I got in trouble. Thanks @Lawrence_Chehimi and @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil for dealing with the stucks and refusals. All in all a very diverse drive with a little bit of everything that hopefully catered for everyone.

    See you again soon

  10. @Nihal17 @Daniel Rodas @kiranshinde @Manoj Soman @Mohamad Anwer @Charbel

I am very sorry, but after two full days in Liwa and a long drive back to Dubai, my car is showing a check engine light and I can't fix it. I tried to get another lead to take over, but nobody is available, so I am afraid this drive is cancelled. Really feel bad about it, but I hope you understand.

Please acknowledge that you have read this post, because I will call the people who haven't seen it.

    Hopefully see you again soon

    @Mario Cornejo

It has been a while since I have lead an afternoon drive with such a long convoy, but I loved it.

A few relatively new fewbies and not the easiest terrain; it turned out to be a little challenging but I hope you all learnt a lot and I was really impressed with radio communication and convoy discipline. Nothing major: lots of refusals, self recoveries, reattempts and a little bit of shoveling 3 rope recoveries and nice team spirit and patience from everyone. The terrain was quite technical in places, but everybody made it. Well done!

Very nice second lead from  Dave and wonderful support from Mario and Richard.

As a lead I tend not to make many pictures, so only a few of them in the gallery.

Nice to see you all and looking forward to the next time
