  1. @Wrangeld this would really only be my second drive of the season and I hope you'll agree, it seems pretty intense for someone who may be a bit rusty and hasn't fully tested his car in previous months. Therefore I will bow out and wait for an opportunity to do a few drives and build up (stamina and concentration) to a biggie like this in the furure. It does sound incredible and I wish you all the very best of luck, looks like a very strong convoy. Mac

  2. Hey Ho! On a drive a while back Vanessa recommended a workshop in Al Quoz (I think) that was a popular choice for Pajero fixing. The head mechanic had been at Habtoor for years I think. Can anyone share a name, I need some engine fixing. Stupid problem. Let the guys at grand lube talk me into using an engine cleaner and since then, the engine have had very low revs when idle or slowing to stop and often stalls altogether. Is this a problem anyone else has encountered... Model 2008..

    Thanking in advance,

    Mac

  3. Hey All,

I set off on general 'black top' trips with the car on the green 2 rear wheel mode (model 2008) I drive about 30 km and the green rear wheel indicator switches to the orange central diff lock. The drive doesn't seem to be altered, therefore, just guessing a glitch. Is this a common fix, like a reset or something, or is it more serious (hoping not), sure some of you have encountered similar...

    Thanking in advance,

    Andy

  4. Vanessa, thank you for leading, Tomas and Muhammad, thank you for your support. A lovely drive, definitely a new sub Carnity category, f'newbie. Not too many stucks or refusals, so things all moved nicely along. Following on from the briefing chat, I drove half in H and half in Hlc, didn't notice too much difference, but I think Hlc just edged it as far vehicle responsiveness was concerned, although, the sand did change quite a bit from start to finish. Thanks again to all, and great to meet some new faces. 👍

  5. Ale, thanks for the drive, really enjoyed. Was wondering, but during the drive you drove into a pocket that surprised you, ie you didn't expect it. I've also seen the same in other drives with different leads. Was wondering tho, what advice do you give, if you drive into a 'surprise' pocket, do you quickly accelerate out or stop to evaluate. I guess it depends on the pocket's size, but is there a best option. I would just panic, I think, which would be useless.
