  1. Drive report coming back to Margham after a long gap for a twilight drive was perfect setting especially for new members to learn the nuances of desert driving. This terrain challenges with the puny looking dunes which can challenge the best of drivers . All was well till dark and following the break , the night bought us to the challenges resulting in multiple refusals , stucks, crests and pop out. All sorted in time with good team work . @takeshi sobue did well for his 2nd lead role , I would urge you to be more communicative as that is what is needed as your experience builds up. Always a pleasure to have you @Thejas Uthran our absolute NB (as per his first drive with Carnity) drove well for someone who was driving in a longish convoy with more experienced members especially at night . Love the way you have prepped your car and you the potential to get better from here . please join the whatsapp notification group for getting regular updates on the drives posted and go through all information below MUST READ: Offroad Club Structure, Levels and Rules Off roading - Everything you need to know Transfer your previous off-road experience Mandatory Safety Requirements Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Tire pressure deflation for off road driving Dune Crossing Tutorial and Techniques Emergency details for all off-roaders Off road Club Grading Structure V.3.0 Team Carnity Grading Structure V.1.0 Multicultural Off Road Club in UAE Off road Driving Etiquette's Levels of Offroad Drive Off-road Convoy Rules Carnity Drive Notification Wranglers driven by @MChatt89 and @James Lovell hardly had any issues given their skill with the awesome cars they drove . Well done 👍🏼 . @Waqas Parvez was wonderful as support - center forwarding , shoveling , advising and tugging all over the place including me when I was stuck in a soft climb unable to get out 😀. Thanks for your support buddy @Anthony Cupit my X mate did well. You have a great reliable car which will take you to more higher and tougher places 😜. There is tons of information on how you can get to know your X better - have fun. @Andrew McCarthy experience was evident as he hardly had any issues negotiating the terrain even at back on churned up tracks . Well done 👍🏼 @Brett Eicher amazing energy and enthusiasm coupled with a classic XJ built to the hilt for desert . Love how you drive - no issues this time and no surgeries 😀😀 @Gaurav Soni our expert support swept and kept the bunch together. Amazed to see how he has got so many sensors to detect the surprises in the terrain 😜😜. Thanks for your support. please do share your pictures or videos in the drive gallery see you all until next time. cheers
  2. Dear Friends @takeshi sobue @Thejas Uthran @MChatt89 @James Lovell @Sunny84 @Waqas Parvez @Anthony Cupit @Andrew McCarthy @Brett Eicher @Gaurav Soni Please note the listing for tonight Radio Channel - 2 Mandatory gears required - Charged and programmed radio, off road flag/pole, shovel, deflator and compressor Advisable not to have food immediately before the drive, give a 2 hrs break to be comfortable. Please ensure your cars are in best of conditions , with a usable spare tire and the spanner/wrenches for the lug nuts. Considering it will be more driving into the night, bring a spare torch if available , full covered trousers and shoes to be safe . @takeshi sobue will be 2nd lead and you will follow his lines @Waqas Parvez will be center forward managing the recoveries if any along with me and @Gaurav Soni See you all tonight
  3. Dear @Thejas Uthran From your profile , I suppose this is your first drive with Carnity - Which is a twilight drive. We start during the evening and drive into the night. FYI - it is always advisable to start with a day light NB drive to get acquainted with the nuances of desert driving. I believe you have some experience as claimed before on other drive threads- so can you please elaborate more on what kind of drives , with whom , how long and in which terrains. This is just to get more insights into your claimed experience to position you appropriately. Please confirm your car has required ground clearance, front and rear tow hooks in good condition and a 4WD/AWD system . What off road gears you have if any? For this drive you would need a compressor, deflator, pressure gauge , Radio , Shovel and a off road flag. Cheers

  6. Awesome @Ranjan Das. Absolutely well deserved and amazing how you have got back to get here 👍🏼
  7. Congratulations @munkybizness. Well done , no surprises. Totally deserved
  8. You have given both question and answer in your comment. One doesn’t need a 4 hr drive to judge a driver - if that is for a promotion to next level. Main objective is spot on ( considering this is a hobby for many) Forget the promotions , take your time to learn and then enjoy the levels as you progress with the challenges, involvement, attitude and the friendship as u get along. Heat is severe but that’s what makes you a better driver , once the winter sets in 😀.
  9. Drive report: What happens in sweihan stays in sweihan. 😀😜 Driver who did extremely well - @Brett Eicher . Remember the basics , climb the recovery ladder 1st maneuvering - steering, front / reverse , 2nd gears - 4H/4L , 3rd rope , 4th winch and 5th chopper 😜🫣. If not there will be a Jeep XJ- waypoint for off Roader’s in Sweihan 🤣 @Zed - awesome support , encouragement and enthusiasm. @Amr Aydin - flaw less 2nd lead . Spot on ! @Haitham Khattab - great team player . Final Score Nissan 1 - Jeep 3 (A situation counts a gain for the other - and u know them well ) . But jokes apart - it is the driver who matters in any car Zeddy jinxed at start and the drive ends all well. We had fun Nissans are unbreakable but Jeep is a Jeep 😆 see you next time guys - ❤️ Superb concentration and involvement. Well done Amr
  10. Ha ha ha 🫣 @Zed sweihan always upgrades the level by default , and we enjoyed it

  18. Drive report Absolutely agree with what @Loopermentioned in above message, it was indeed a 100/100 fun considering the short convoy of 4 cars . @takeshi sobue did well for a 2nd lead , though we had hardly any issues as we hit some nice clean dunes for the most part. Rising fuel prices and soaring temperatures have taken a bit of toll - in a nicer way to keep the dunes clean in an area which is mostly studded with cross tracks. Impressive driving and clean climbs all the way to the top of big red @Zulfikhar Naiyar drove well in his xterra except for some refusals and minor stucks/ crest. You did well playing in “D” for the most part , but as you progress you need to play with your gears for the long steep climbs . It is just a matter of time and practice which will get you there easily. last but definitely not the least @Looper presence on the drive added that reassurance that we played at a reasonable pace without holding back. Great team man to have on any drive - with full of enthusiasm and something new every time on his yellow Jeep 😜😀. have fun you all, u till we meet next time sooner or later.
