  2. Hi @CasperPL, i can see in your profile that you have a 2006 pathfinder which by itself is a great car ( I believe with the same 4.0 V6, not sure if there is a diff lock option). Just the diff lock is not a deal breaker if you are thinking so - as long as you are driving with a group. I suppose you can prep your present car itself which can easily meet your needs for off roading. Unless there is something major which might be super expensive. Members here have driven on all levels with this car As a Xterra owner myself - two of them - it is a great car which will never fail you and over time you learn how to play around to at least get out of desert in any issue, but getting proper parts - especially OEM/genuine is a bit of wait /pain at times. This might be an issue with all other older model cars. Another advantage with the xterra is there is a amazing support group of xterra owners available here with tons of advise.
  3. Thank you for your reply See you on Friday evening Go through the drive thread properly and note the mandatory gears required to join this drive being - shovel, off road flag &pole, compressor, deflator and a Radio ( programming details mentioned in the thread)
  4. dear @Thomas Collins Jayakumar I believe you have done a masterclass and hence you can join this drive . Note the mandatory required gears for this drive being - shovel, deflator, compressor, radio and a flag. Please do understand we are trying to sort these internally as well but since we have leads from different work schedules their reply or coms can take some time. Again to reiterate - especially at a newbie level all these clarifications are done for the sole intention being - to make the experience safe to all including you.
  5. Hello @Thomas Collins Jayakumar I see in your profile that this will be your first drive with the club Kindly note this drive is not for absolute newbies - i.e first timers with the club. Have you done any masterclass with any leads? If not I am afraid you will have to sign out and join a day time Newbie drive for the first time thanks in advance
  6. Hi @Rajesh NG, if you have done a masterclass , it should be fine to join this drive and then you can do your self declaration on the forum for review and getting to next level
  7. Hello @Theo09 no special lights needed. Regular lights on high beam with fog lamps should be okay when driving with a convoy. As a courtesy to fellow drivers just ensure your lights aren't glaring them @Arun Menon can you elaborate more on the off roading experience - weather it was with another club of just camping / barbeque rides? If you have a newly acquired ride/car for off roading - I strongly suggest you to join a regular Newbie drive during day time to get acquainted with it ( unless you have driven already). Once you finish your mandatory newbie drive for joining this club, you can do the self declaration to get to next level for review Thank you @DP1011 for your advises ❤️
