  10. Dear @Jesper Weltström @lucas amat @george charbel@Ben Lee @James Lovell @Usman Basit @Juzer Gandhi @Misha Puskar it was pleasure driving with all of you this morning and you all did a great job crossing Lisaili to Qudra lakes demonstrating great driving skills, patience, and team work. Together we experienced different types of terrain ranging from baby tight dunes, bushy and bumpy grounds, med size long ranges, small bowls, finally closing with the lavish green lakes. From staring crossings, long range sidies, arches, and even basic crest crossing and you all did very well with great coordination communications We also experienced the magic of self recovery using controlled gas and steering, shoveling, and rope towing recovery techniques.. With all of the above you covered on the itinerary you covered over 54KM in around 3hrs.. a great indication of how well you all did, Bravo everyone 🙌🙌🙌 a huge shout out to the outstanding support of @Davie Chase and @Fabien Monleau and the excellent second lead by @James Lovell @Misha Puskar I wish you speedy recovery and hope to see you soon on the sand along with the rest of the team @babaski I hope everything is ok with you, we didn’t hear anything from you and you didn’t show up this morning. For future please rsvp out by Thursday if your plan changes or at least notify on the forum that you won’t be joining..

  15. Thanks @Vanessa8580 for giving me the opportunity to join your convoy on such a short notice .. it was great meeting yo, @Ale Vallecchi, and the entire group today and be back on the sand after such a long break. Hopefully the blue X is back on the sand soon too. A huge applause to everyone on both convoys today for the great team work and the outstanding support during the recovery.. you guys all rock.. looking forward for driving with you all soon
  16. I am trying to visualize the situation and based on the pic and drawing my understanding is that the purpose of using the snatch block was for leverage and not force redirection.. so based on that understanding I believe the best position of the snatch block would be directly connected to the dead car (Snoop’s in the case), and the winch rope would go around the snatch block back to the winching car or another car as anchor.. this would give leverage almost doubling the force on the dead car and reduce helge stress on the winch .. can’t wait to play with this and apply to different scenarios when we meet
  17. Me too although I don’t have a winch but very much interested
  18. You are not only a fantastic Offroader but also an outstanding talented writer .. TBH I equally enjoy reading your drive debriefs as mush as I enjoy driving with you @munkybizness. Your debrief flew me 2000km to Alqua and I felt present in every second of that amazing drive.. well done. You have a beautiful talent there my friend cherish it and never slowdown in entertaining all of us with your writings.. well done @GauravSoni and everyone on this drive.. @Zixuan Huang - Charlie hope your car is recovering soon and looking forward to enjoy driving with all of you
  19. I have done this several years back with friends including overnight camp and BBQ on top of Jabal Alharim.. with multiple stops at interesting view points along the way.. crossing to UAE back from the other side of the trail is not allowed for expats as @munkybiznesssaid so you have to turn back and follow same route through Khasab. P..S. If u are camping on top of Jabal Alharim make sure you have more than enough stuff to keep u warm at night and early morning hours .. it’s freezing cold
