  7. Hilarous moment.. when someone requestsd to be allowed to use the 'Mens room' deep in the desert and response came... if he finds one to let others know.. also make sure to flush after. 😁😉
  8. @Lorenzo Candelpergher an accurate piece of writing as if u had a drone on top of the convoy recording every bit. thank you. There were occasional stucks which are expected in such drives actually it may consume time but also enhance experience and improve skills of driver those stuck, recovery participants and even those watching it. Non incidental drives can become pleasantly boring..😅. I was a bit dissapointed to see that fossil rock is going to be closed and was been totally fenced but if they have found some ancient history buried than it will be worth it for coming tourist and generations. I alwasy felt some sections specially east side of the rock looked like some sort of man made structures protruding from the sand. I am also dismayed to see trash that people dump in the beautiful desert... like we divers (scuba) do form groups to collect under water trash from the shores of Dubai perhaps one day all the hundred of drivers including other club put togather can be persuaded to have a desert clean up day. Returning to morning [email protected] I enjoyed driving behind u, yes at one spot the it got tricky coming out for u it was just a matter of few more minutes and you would have climbed out. I agree with our trip lead 100% that drivers in the back should short cut/ re route without announcing on radio. Everyone did their best appreciate their enthusiam. With some saddness, I wish to announce that soon I shall be leaving the Carnity club and resume my real passion of Boat sailing and Scuba Diving. I will not abandon the dunes but will come on drives occasionaly.. surely the free one 😉. Thank you@Carnity
  9. The debate for Pajero from Gears to Intermediate is intersting. The only thing to add is from own expereince.. Pajero are Pajero cant replace Jeeps, FJ and other monsters. I tried everything even spend nearly Aed 20K on modification of Pajero 3.8 but finally decided to buy FJ. These cars Pajero I mean are good upto a point but have a limits. Yes one can with correct skills with courage can succeed on some drives the level of intermediate but then 'NOVA'. Old cars perish in the harshness of such drives.. unless one mates with a garage and has plenty of cash to spend and ability to hide from the spouse.. stop it. Also leads decide the level based on the day of drive. Once I saw our dear @Lorenzo Candelpergher and his dare devil group fly past 'Extreme' on a total dune crest when some in our convoy were shoveling or tugging way down on near flat sands.. i.e. F+ level. So the point is dont overdo.. recognise the limitation of your car first and your skills second. God Bless
  10. @Ale Vallecchi yet another experience to drive under your command. The visibility conditions were not the best as the colour of sand terrain and the horizon was near same. I am visiting my optician to find out if there are some tinted sun shades for my glasses.I believe a red tint helps to distinguish the sand. Some crosses of crest with incline and coming out were difficult to make out. The whole drive was near incidence free except for a couple of tugs and spades maybe not more than few minutes each. Loved watching the gazelle and camel herds, though holding 4th position.. the first 3 cars are lucky and scare them away but still could see their tails disappearing. The sand was still blowing hard and had to deep shower for another afternoon drive. Appreciate everyone's contribution.. seems all are good and safe drivers. @Kalahari CF and @Shehab Alawadhisweep did full justice to their position. Look forward guys next week.
  11. @Lorenzo CandelpergherDear sir.. I hope, I did not miss the opportunity here. There were 2 drivers who dropped out. Anyway hope everyone had a great drive.
