  1. I drive without A/c, additional radiator installed in front to assist cooling and also have a hood louver vents installed still struggle with the summer heating, moved from day drives to night drives yet last week after the drive had the transmission locked (car ends up revving 3500rmp at speed of 80km). Had to stop at petrol station with bonnets one for an hr to cool down and then head back home. Suggestions welcomed as the only way out i see is to avoid driving during peak summer months (never had these issues during winter months). Oh I drive a 2006 automatic Jeep TJ
  2. @Tbone, @Ashy guys your boards with me, let’s coordinate on phone/what’s app how and when to pass it to yourselves. My mobile 0529038316 (whats app +919819123915).

Wonderful convoy and great driving everyone did really very well, looking forward to driving with you all again soon. have taken a few videos on my phone of some cars climbing up pink rock.. for some reason unable to attach, still trying to figure out how to attach those here ☹️
  10. @Foxtrot Oscar hi Angela fully agree, direction of his Tyres are facing up instead down.. he kept fighting gravity.
  11. Congratulations @Abdul Rahman AKbhai, well earned, stay strong 🙂
  12. @Chaitanya DNo worries at all Doc, fully understand i was quite late in my request and didnt expect to get a place with a big convoy (but there was always a small hope 😃), hope to catch up with you soon. Incase anyone drops or change of plans i will be happy to join at the last minute also (guess latest by 5 pm, to head out to make it there for start at 6). Hope you guys have fun and enjoy, stay safe.
  13. @Vanessa8580thanks for one of the smoothest drives (you already have a reputation for it 😀).... thanks for allowing me to support you on the drive it was fantastic, got so much to learn. I think the whole convoy should be proud of themselves, everyone did very well, a few refusals here and there were managed with ease. @Ammar Naji and @Zixuan Huang both did very well to support the rest of the convoy. have a great weekend guys, hope to catch up with you all soon.
  14. @Lawrence_Chehimi Technical challenge by Richard some time ago was one of those where everyone was getting stuck in the small technical dunes (regardless the level of expertise or car this was a marathon of a drive and tons to learn), CrisCrossing with Ale recently (just a few that i have attended). From time to time you will see these challenging ones come up. Stopping in the middle of the hill and climbing up again could be catastrophic, only safe way is to get unstuck and reverse down (in my opinion, no expert to suggest or recommend), been there done that a few times. I hear you buddy, what you want is to be in a difficult situation and learn how to come out of there. As you rightly posted its for the marshals and senior members who are best suited to answer that.
  15. Lawrence i think this is already being done in most of the newbie and fewbie drives as Varun has mentioned above. It depends on the convoy and the speed at which it moves where it gives the Marshals time to decide how much time can be given in the play area. My personnel experience has been very good (simpler car also i suppose) but i have always asked the question and Marshals have been more than happy to help, guide and assist in whichever way they can, rest is up to us to try and experiment capabilities of our car and mostly ourselves 🤣 (with safety being first priority for us and co drivers).
  16. Awesome... just awesome... can’t think of any better word to describe the drive today... one of the smoothest moving drives I have been on, very few refusals/stuck’s... first half was more challenging for me, hot weather, white sands and blowing winds made it very difficult to see the tracks of the vehicle ahead. @Ale Vallecchithe pace was just perfect we started slowly but the momentum picked up soon. Thanks to fantastic team/convoy for their support and guidance throughout. perfect start to the eid break......Eid Mubarak everyone, wishing you and your loved ones a happy and safe festive break.
