  1. Congrats @Marek_was003, get ready to learn some new off-roading skills. Enjoy
  2. Searching online seems that’s a common problem with the inhibitor switch located underneath the car next to the transfer box. If you mechanic suggested to replace the transmission mounts to resolve the issue, then I would really suggest you find another one as it seems he doesn’t know what he is doing!! It is like replacing your wiper blade because the wipers aren’t moving.
  3. If you ever consider a Y62, never ever think the V6 will take you anywhere. It barely moves on road. Can’t really understand how Nissan installed a v6 on such size suv. I had a V8, it was a beast and extremely comfortable, can’t be compared really to any car. But be prepared for heavy maintenance fees, you will be changing oils of diff, transfer case, transmission every 40K, be prepared for 4000plus on service. At 80k your bushings will be worn out and thats 6k aed for control arms. If you damage the steering column that’s 10k. if you reach higher levels you will need to switch to serious offroad tires, but before that the car will require a bash plate and an offroad front and rear bumper as the stock will be destroyed on fewbie drives. Reaching Intermediate, the car is very heavy and it will bounce and bottom out when hitting bumps at speeds, you will spend anywhere from 10k to 20k on suspension. Remember anything can go wrong while in desert, so if it does, you will cry like a baby after spending all this money on it.😂(ask me about it) But It is a vehicle that will badly spoil you. moving on to the y61 safari, the engine is underpowered, all these videos you see on instagram are for heavily modified patrols. You will need headers, cold air intake with filter and a remap this is for a start, or you will be disappointed when it fails to make a big climb. I drive an xterra now, it is not the most comfortable nor the most powerful, it just does the job. The squeaky suspension at the back might drive you crazy though. the Fjc performs pretty much similar to the xterra, yet i guess more reliable on the long run. But very noisy on highways compared to the xterra. The newer wrangler is very light and has decent power, so obviously performs better than all, some people will hate me but it is the least reliable, you will start making warranty claims starting from the first year, it also gives you headaches on highways even at low speeds.
  4. I drove to Riyadh few months back, I went with my Xterra so didn’t really bother putting any kind of protection to the paint. When I returned I noticed some numerous amount of stone chips on the hood.
  5. @Ali Abasit’s against Carnity rules to recommend Garages and shops. This is a very simple job that any workshop can do, you can do it yourself with a sharp cutter.
  6. 15 years back, the sound system in the car I drove was at least double the price of the car itself😂. The sound was really loud but the quality was not🙄. 2-3 Bazookas in the boot with whatever number of pioneer speaker and tweeters I can fit in the front, crown amps were a thing back then at least where I lived. I used to tune them myself, (no wonder why the quality was bad)actually tuning is a science itself, there are calculations that pro shops use, but can’t expect to see this here. Now I enjoy the sound quality present in the new cars rather than the loudness, especially when equipped with a Bose or harmon kardon system. Now on the xterra, I’m planning to change the head unit to high end sony, but will have to replace the factory low impedance speakers to avoid overheating the unit. I found some installation shops recommended on sony’s website, hope they know what they’re doing.
  7. What an amazing experience, Liwa is something else!! Congrats to all of us making it to the other side safely @Kailasyou were an amazing lead, you made it a fantastic drive, challenging yet safe. Thanks @DP1011 , Deepak wranglerfor holding the convoy at the center and for all the help and tugs you gave. Thanks to everyone who supported the support, I guess we were the only ones getting stuck hahaa.😀 Hope to see you all on sand soon.
  8. I guess he was climbing up with much speed and suddenly hit the brakes and that shifted all the weight to the front. Maybe he was also in 2WD
  9. @Zedsorry for the late reply, I wouldn’t recommend disconnecting the wheel speed sensor, I recall that on one of the drives Rawad hit something and it got disconnected, the car got stuck in 4WD and couldn’t switch anymore between 4L and 4H.
  10. @Arsalan Ehsanyou don’t need to do any of these in the Y62. The airbags in Y62 don’t deploy unless you are in an actual accident, we’ve seen Y62 stuck at angles where they almost rolled over (vehicle had two wheels up in the air from one side) and the airbags didn’t deploy. So don’t bother at all about it. The ABS kill switch will disable your terrain selection switch (rock, sand, snow). I honestly disabled it once and found myself enabling it again during the drive. Not just me but also other Y62 owners done like to disable it. but anyway if you insist there is only one way to do it, that is to remove the plug connected to your brake fluid reservoir under the hood.
  11. I miss the luxury and comfort of that v8 I had. Now I have an easier to drive v6 xterra. @Dodi Syahdargood to see your name again. looking forward for tomorrow.
  12. Happy birthday @Frederic🎂🥳
  13. @Asif HussainI’m having a high fever and looks I’m not getting better🥲 If by tomorrow I don’t better, i’m afraid that I will have to drop from the drive.
  14. I’ve been using the quick disconnect from AOR for the past 2 years. It is just perfect.
  15. @Benjamin go to sufouh beach on a weekend and you will end up working as a tow truck, you can easily recover 4-5 cars per hour🤣. But as everyone mentioned, be extra careful, especially with small cars, you might think it has a recovery point but that’s more of a tie down point, give it a medium tug and it will break immediately. you will also encounter some rude people who don’t appreciate your help and ask you to leave them alone; happened to me once, a pajero was recovering a Tahoe with a tie down strap🤦‍♂️of course the strap broke and I left them searching for someone else to help..
  16. We’ll see who changes first and then provide the review to the other. But I guess i Will immediately notice the difference if I go with either, since Im moving from HT. I also never tried the Geolanders before, as you know I had the BFG Ko2 on that mighty car, so not sure how reliable my review be in terms which is better!
  17. Not sure if anyone tried the new Trail Terrain tires from BFG, they are lighter and less aggressive than KO2, checking the specs the tires weights 40lbs for the 265/70/R16. I have to change my H/T tires very soon;will be one of these Michelin AT, geolanders ot the new trail terrain BFG.
  18. @varunmehndirattai vote for the ko2, 33”. I believe better to stick to this size than going to 34”. on 34” you are 1” closer to need regearing which will affect your performance. i have seen some cooper tires getting cracks in side walls. Your jeep have enough power to handle the KO2, so if i was you i would choose them over geolanders.
  19. Congrats @Hisham Masaad, very well deserved. See you soon on sand.
