    don't want to be a bad-news bearer, but it took Nissan 3 months to fix my Y62 after rollover, and that is with constant whats-app-ing the supervisor every week on the progress 🥲. Their reason was the roof had to be ordered from Japan and sent via sea as some parts cannot be air-shipped...  but I'm not convinced 💁‍♂️

    I have already prepared myself mentally for a similar scenario. This is going to take many months I am afraid.

    @Gerrit BusI hope the car gets fixed soon and you gontonthevdesert at the earlierst. However, I highly recommend you dont install the back box enclusure, and to check the suspension balance on your vehicle.

    It has now been two weeks and the repairs have not even started yet. I am still waiting for the insurance to give the go ahead. Then parts need to be ordered from the USA. So this is going to be a long road.

It is going to be a long road as many parts need to come from the USA.

    I want to thank all of you for the excellent support provided to me, even well after the drive time had finished. The camaraderie is exceptional in our club.

    @M.Seidam @Gerrit Bus  @Daniel Rodas

    Thanks Doc for organising this drive - my first during the work week as i always drive during the weekend.

    The small convoy enabled us to drive at a steady / fast pace, with minimal refusals (where we had to shovel couple of times); but it was fun at the end of the day.

    @Gerrit Bus  you drove amazing well mate for your first IM drive; keep up the good work and try to manage the lifetime of the Jeep as much as you can.   Driving behind you gave me the opportunity to watch you jump from the dunes; pls be careful mate.

    Thanks for sharing the vids mate - have you tried to stick the cam on the side of the car so that you can capture your jumps?  Maybe for next time!

    @Daniel Rodas long time that we did not drive together; as the SL, you took us on the correct path when Doc was having refusals.

    @M.Seidam  Super Technical?  Yes it was a 'Super Technical Drive', which required full focus from all drivers.  the dunes were not tall or scary, but the tracks were tricky.

    I look forward to our next drives together.

    Until then, enjoy your week.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the good advice, appreciated. I do use the camera in different positions and always keep experimenting 😄
