Dear Desert Wanderers, @Mark B, @Gurcharan Mehta, @Frans M, @Rk ram, @Cha, @george charbel, @Rob S, @Emanuel, @Tom B, & @Bjoern thank you all for showing up on time today and for the great drive, and company. I hope you all enjoyed the drive as much as I did. I have put a few pics in the Gallery.
We had a little of everything today and you guys handled it all brilliantly.
Great team work to fix a pop out in F1 style time frame, thanks to some superb Jack work from @Tom B and prowess on the shovel and @Rob S with some also nifty shovel work although the water bottle was a bit of a let downCongratulations to @Bjoern for your first ever cresting, it was a nice one which allowed us to get the shovels out and aid in a great self recovery.
Fantastic second lead by @Mark B reacting quickly and effortlessly to my various commands even though I got left and right mixed up 😂
Superb support today meant that I was confident in taking some nice lines as I knew the convoy was in safe hands and being watched over by @Cha in the middle and @Rob Ssweeping us. You guys did an amazing job supporting the drive, thanks you it was much appreciated.
The rest of the convoy drove brilliantly and made for a free flowing smooth drive.
thankyou and have a great rest of your weekend

@DP1011 congratulations on a fantastic lead my friend, I really enjoyed the drive and really did not have a lot of smoothing to do. Your lines were excellent and you navigated traffic with expertise. Well done and keep it up.
the convoy of desert wanderers @Rafey Hashmi @Maytham Mahroos @munkybizness @frederic demolder @george charbel @Lala G @Felix Obst @Gary F @Joji varghese@Pacific drove superbly through some bumpy terrain caused by a lot of cross tracks and of course navigating the shaik Zayed road type traffic we encountered.
the support team did an amazing job @Pacific @munkybizness and @Joji varghese thank you guys for coming out and supporting us, it is always a pleasure to have you all in the convoy and it also allows us to focus on leading as we know the middle and end of the convoy are in safe hands.
have a great rest of your weekend and hope to see you all very soon in the desert

Dear desert wanderers @Frans M @Emanuel @frederic demolder @Issam Atra @Pacific @essam ibrahim @Mahmoud Taha @Mark B @george charbel @Xavi Moyano @JohanE @Gary F @Dan S @Rafey Hashmi @Imteeaz @Imran Asghar @Varun Mehndiratta @ @DP1011
I hope you all had as much fun as we did during todays drive. Convoy two started of with a quick order stuck that took us a minute or two to sort out, but after that it was plain sailing to the meeting point of the rock formation that houses the desert foxes. We did manage to see one although it was unfortunately deceased. The timing could not have been much better with both convoys arriving form either direction at the same time.It was a great gathering with some lovely weather and fantastic picture opportunities (see the gallery).
Convoy two then headed for Sweihan whilst convoy 1 headed back to the start point. (Deepak I will leave you to post the comparison of the two tracks side by side if you wish).
Convoy two had a really nice flow to it until we had a couple of late stucks and one minor electrical issue, where we decided to not risk it any further and exit earlier than planned.
Fantastic S/L by @Emmanuel staying just far enough back to react to my shouts of don't follow and of course please go a couple of cars to the left or right. Well done my friend excellent job.
We had fantastic support from @Mark B in the middle keeping me informed of what was going on and assisting with the couple of issues we had. thanks and look forward to the next drive with you.
@Imteeaz swept the convoy and was front and center guiding the team members that had a couple of refusals and stucks in the tricky soft sand, thank you my friend always a comfort to have you in support.
@Issam Atra @george charbel @Xavi Moyano @Gary F @Rafey Hashmi you guys drove the wheels off your cars and made for a faster pace than usual for a Fewbie but man was it fun. Thank you and apologies to Rafey for jinxing what was a near perfect drive right up till a couple of dunes from the end, but it was the softest tug the Rubicon has ever had to give :):):).
@george charbel hope your electrical issues is not too bad and you get it checked over and find the niggle before it gets worse.
Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend and look forward to seeing you all again soon in the sand.

Dear desert wanderers @Frederic @Abdullah Nasim1 @W a q a r @Rafey Hashmi @Faraz94 @karim hamandi @Mahesh_ @Bhaskar @Julien Recan @Gagandeep @Haneef Thayyil @Imran Asghar and @Aser
Thank you all for sharing in my inaugural newbie drive, it was a pleasure to lead you all through the beautiful sand of Lisalli. Great driving by one and all, great camaraderie, and we were treated to a rather large Camel caravan as it passed in front of us.
Each and every one of you drove sensationally well making our jobs so much easier, we had a couple of refusals but no real stucks that I can remember. we did encounter a couple of pop outs, and strangely enough both at the same time, who would have thought.
A special shout out to @Abdullah Nasim1 and @Gagandeep on your absolute newbie drive. I really do hope you gained some confidence from this drive and that we did not scare you too much, moreover, we really do hope to see you again in the sand very soon.
A big thank you to our sweep @W a q a r you did an amazing job my friend keeping me well informed every step of the way, so thanks it was a comforting knowing you were back there keeping the tail end of the convoy safe.
A big thank you to our center forward @Imran Asghar, you did an amazing job as always, your calm demeaner and professionalism as you swoop into action is second to none. Loved the electric jack and glad you got to play with your new toy not once but twice
And last but not least a huge thankyou to @Frederic for being my second lead. Always a pleasure to have you sign off on my milestones, as it all started with the first one of a master class way back in 2021 when I first met you. It has been a journey my friend and a very pleasant one learning my craft from your good self and all the other Marshals and support team members @Carnity thank you one and all.
I hope each and everyone of you have a fantastic rest of your weekend and that we get to see you al again very soon out in the sand pits of the UAE

Sorry team leads but i have to withdraw from this drive on account of receiving back a positive PCR test this evening. I am really disappointed to be missing out tomorrow, but I don't think it is safe for me to be driving even if the symptoms are only mild.
Get well Soon @Damian

Hi @Gagandeep
i have a spare flag with suction cup which I’ll bring tomorrow.
With regards to the compressor, I have those small rechargeable compressor as well which is only useful for top-up (from 30 to 32 psi for example).
I don’t think it will suffice to inflate 4 tires from 15 back to 35 psi. You can perhaps use it to inflate to 25psi and then head over to the nearest gas station.
If you decide to join weekly, you’ll definitely need a heavy duty model. Will post a guide below.
@Gagandeep I have a spare compressor that I carry with me so we should be good to get your tires pumped up
and I also have spare radios so between my collection and @Frederic's collection of goodies we should be able to sort you out,

It’s very normal to be a bit nervous @Gagandeep, but I’m sure you’ll have a great morning out with us.
There’s a couple of things which will be required for your first drive:
1. Pressure Gauge, deflator
2. air compresor to re-inflate your tires
3. Off-Road flagThe other items you can purchase after your first drive.
You can head out to the following places to get your stuff:
-Dragon Mart-Ace or Speedex hardware stores.
We can lend you a spare radio for your first drive. In case you’re heading to Dragon Mart they sell the radios. Go for Crony MT777 or Baofeng UV5R.
Edragonmall.com is the online site from Dragon Mart and they deliver, so that’s also an option.
see also below:
@Gagandeep as @Frederic says we are all nervous to start off with but do not worry about it you will do fine and you will surely enjoy every minute of the drive. I am sure once you have completed this drive you will get bitten by the off-road bug like we all did .
We have plenty of spare radios, but you will need the other gear and a radio for your subsequent drives.
Looking forward to meeting you at Lisalli on Saturday morning :):)

Dear Desert Wanderers, @Varun Mehndiratta has kindly agreed to assist in leading a convoy this means we are able to split the convoy and have two for Sundays drive. I have not moved everyone as yet to the main RSVP, I will do this tomorrow when I close the drive. However, I would appreciate if your plans have changed and you do not intend to join us, that you please go in and remove your RSVP so that we can work out who will be in which convoy and in which order.
I am really looking forward to welcoming you all onto the drive on Sunday morning in the beautiful white sand dunes of Fayah.
