What a great way to start the day; early morning Suhoor with the family and then a nicely planned drive on the sand, for my 1st Support drive.

Thanks @Davie Chase for leading us yesterday, with support from @Hisham Masaad.  The trail was great, with a mix of everything to keep us drivers busy.

@Xavi Moyano I was sad that you had to re-inflate at the meeting due to a missing bolt (and I am sure it was an important one) on your suspension system; better be safe than sorry mate.  Looking forward to our next drive together.

@fayez @Parliament @Misha Puskar  with your Jeeps, you were simply non-stoppable.

@Misha Puskar  pls get a good flag mount with the push flag - it will help you for your next drives.  I also noted that you were still on H/T tyres; this is NOT an issue at all for FB drives.  However with summer and your subsequent rise in Carnity, you may start looking at AT tyres; you will feel the difference during your drives.

@Bashar Beasha great to catch up with another VTC fan; with the mods that you have done to your VTC, you are geared up for the drives.

@Ishak@Paolo Pellegrini you had great control on your Pajero; keep it up gents.

I have heard some crazy stories about Jeepers.

As Gaurav mentioned, they do look nice for onroad or mall crawling.

I have seen cars from Offroad Zone being better customised for offroad.

I have visited both shops and was more convinced by Offroad Zone.

Rubicon seems to be the best option if you are not planning to spend more money on the upgrades.

@Varun Mehndiratta thank you for scheduling this exploration drive; it lived up to my expectations, with lots of challenges in a new terrain.

other than couple of minor refusals, 1 pop-out (and 1 minor pop-out for my car), we used our shovels 3-4 times; well this was expected as the sand was soft to super-soft.

the whole convoy was well supported by @Looper + @Ranjan Das  which made our lives easy, meaning that we could focus on the drive and enjoying the sand.

@Amr Aydin @Gok Krish @Santoso Marjuki @Imran Kashif @Jessica Lambert  thank you for joining this drive; the Jeeps were doing a great job making my life more difficult to follow your tracks.

Hats off to @Jessica Lambert for your 1st IM drive - keep it up.  As Varun mentioned previously, please check with the Prado gang to understand how you can get the kill-switch installed or simply disabling the air-bags.

Thank you again for making this drive a memorable one; i look forward to @Carnity scheduling more drives in this area.

I have also wrapped the headers and spaced the bonnet to help with temps at low speed. I was idling today for about 40 mins with a/c flat out and engine never got above 88deg. Before it would go above 98 very quick when idling. Intake temp was up to 75deg

What OBD are you using to monitor your engine / other temperatures?

I am looking for my Y61.
