  2. Thanks @GauravSoni for the thrilling adventure you have took us through, after warming up our engines and selfs we stoped for a few minutes to enjoye the sun rise, before we roared our engines all the way to badayer . As we had to cut it a bit short due to some unfortunate incidents of closed fences and a few refusals and a broken lower arm bush of @Yusuf Esafcar.

But other than that everyone drive amazingly well.

    Thanks@Haitham Khattab @Sam K @Ignacio Quindós @Tareq Al Turq @Simon Dawood @Yusuf Esaf @Gerrit Bus @Salim Akhtar @salah2 for the fun company.

I just have a few points to remind you of ( including myself ) and i hope everyone accept them with a welcoming heart. even the best of us sometimes needs to be reminded sometimes.

    1. Following Radio  communication protocols is extremely important .

    a. If you have a refusal or stuck situation immidiatly after ensuring your car have stopped and you are safe,  announce your situation ,  name , position number.( preferably 2 times) .

    b. When you hear on the radio that soneone is having a stuck or a refusal, please stop immediately (safely)as you never know where did the car with the situation have stopped.

    2. When someone is trying to recover himself or the marshal and or cf is moving please hold position and dont move unless you have been asked to, some really bad accidents might happen .

Thanks again and looking forward to see you all again in the sand soon .

@Yusuf Esaf i hope your car is fixed and ready for the next adventure  😉

Sweihan Drives drive report : eventful

    Dear Friends

For yesterday’s drive i feel great gratitude and gratefulness  for each one of you for standing still till the last moment in an incident I believe was one of the most difficult one in Carnity club , at least for me .

toward the end of the drive around 9:30 we took one last bowl before exiting as it was just next to the track leading to exit. by the time I finished my turn and reached Hisham at the tail almost every one has done his turn . every one reached except @Mohamad Anwer who crossed to the other side and when didn’t acknowledge on the radio I immediately steered down ( from the second round tailing Hisham ) to climb ascending the ridge and by the time I reached the crest to cross to the other side I sow the LC70 on its right side flipped. ( later on mohamed Anwar said I heard on the radio roll over , switch off the engine .. but couldn’t reach the radio off course as he was trapped in the cabin but he did switch the engine even before hearing that on the radio , and this is another sign he was aware of what just had happened ). I run to the car to have a quick inspection to the surroundings ( clear ) and I had an eye contact with M.Anwar and he shown movement and that was initial reassuring sign. Within seconds every one buzzed for help and we got Anwar from the rear boot after I exchanged with him few sentences to calm him down. He gathered his courage and managed to get him out and was attended properly to calm him down.

At this point and after Looking at the gross damage of the vehicle and presence of a small cut wound in the head as well the stress impact on all of us  . I took a quick chat with my wingman and the true man of the day @Hisham Masaad and we decided to split in two teams not doubting a second for their competence or judgment.
Being Mohamed in @Karthik Raptor in semi horizontal inclined conformable position we run on the track to exit where in same time the informed police and ambulance were in their way and by the time we reached maybe a minute or two the ambulance arrived. The paramedics did their job so quick and I exchanged info and pict with the police who truly showed true professional attitude and great help. In this time @Hisham Masaad ,  @Abdelghani @Waqas Parvez and @ASAD. On the other side managed to bring the flipped car on its foot and even they drag it as mush as they could toward the track.

the ambulance left carrying @Mohamad Anwer to the hospital and policeman helped to call the recovery and to open the gate for a segment that made the track continuous.
I thanked every one for their great help and concerns and I advised them not to worry as Mohamed now is in safe hands . It started to get hot and I wanted every one to reach safe home. I and @Karthik Raptor returned back to Hisham while @Imran Kashif, @Zed and @Zixuan Huang - Charlie willingly decided to stay waiting for the recovery guy along with the policeman . I already thanked @Amr Aydinand @Daniel Yangfor their help and concerns and wished them safe trip back home.
I got a call from the policeman and later kashif that the recovery truck arrived but was hesitant to go further. @Hisham Masaadand @ASAD. managed to convince him while I managed with help of @Karthik Raptor and @Waqas Parvez to drag the car further down hill ( small one ) but then there was no way than to winch it or leave it . Hisham called that we are coming as the guy agreed and with little push  from @Zed might LC eventually we could manage to winch the remaining distance by Hisham’s winch and the recovery winch thereafter . It looked like we were determined that we should leave nothing behind us 😅. The recovery truck with the car on top fastened made the wheels to sink further even in the little sand . I came in front of zedy car and hooked my rope to his however we still needed the “yallah push “ power of the grand master @Hisham Masaad and here we go

Well it was a vey eventful day from the start when we had to exit @Sunil Mathew after he got a hard hit to front right suspension . Hope to be sorted out followed by @Karthik Raptor tricky crest at the edge of the death bowl ( sorted brilliantly by @Waqas Parvez and team instructions ) and lastly the unfortunate roll over  of @Mohamad Anwer . However fortunately and with God Grace and all team with us has shown the real courage and real man stand still in such hard time , mohamad anwar got out alive from this and we could manage to recover the dead car despite all challenges. Special thanks to @Hisham Masaadfor personally checking at Mohamad at tawam hospital and informing me that he is alright 🙏

Apology  if I made it long .

    Seidam

I was not part of this drive , but Reading this my heart skipped a beat and i could imagine what would ot feel.

We all know its an extreme sport and things can go out of control in some situations.  But always knowing that you have leader like @M.Seidamand @Hisham Masaad and other @Carnity Marshals whom always follow strict safety procedures makes us feel assured.

But i was not surprised to reading that everyone jumped and did whatever they could do to help because at this level we created this bond amond the members of carnity and it always feels we are driving with family and friends ...

I am sad to hear about the incident,  and i am sorry about @Mohamad Anwer car and i hope he is well.

I think this proves that at @Carnity" we leave no one behind "

  4. @Mehmet Volga as we discussed the other day, i am using the stock shock absorber ( i was told that they can handle the abuse) they are doing well till now, i have a 2" lift kit ( springs only ) with AOR 1.35 inch spacers for handling compensating for the center of gravity .

As i am having 18inch rims i had to increase my tire size to 265/65 R18 to minimize the pop outs which and as  a biproduct entertained me with an additional 1inch  😁, so in total i have 3" lift

what have improved by the above:

    1.  stiffer and more controllable ride, even when i  fly over speed bumps the car doesn't act like a wild horse , my kids love it ( not that i encourage anyone to try that 😅😂).

    2. can go at higher speeds than before on the dunes without smashing my skid plate and my entire under vehicle , but not too fast as after a few jumps it will feels like a trampoline  ( i think some people even witnessed me literary flying over some dunes 😅,  here comes handy the professional shock absorbers )

for the past year i am hitting the dunes with this combination.

what i would have done differently is replacing my rims current rims with zero or -ve offset rims as the spacers will always put additional stress on the wheel bearings . and i would highly recommend you to do so if you are about to change your tires.

P.S never go for used spacers as they are not safe!!

looking forward to see you soon in the sand 💪

Hey @Mehmet Volga… after riding the dunes for about 100+ drives, I went for Dobinsons MRA suspensions with 30 mm spacers to avoid hitting the reservoir installed in the wheel arch…

the car now sits at 2 inch lift with the heavy springs which kinda gives a good look overall..

The MRA’s is what Dobinson a refer as stage 4, with knobs provided to adjust the settings to make it hard/ soft. I personally have found a sweet spot setting for on and off road.

Riding the ridges is more comfortable with good clearance and it can take those steep small steps we end up finding while leading.. one major change I felt is the reduced dashboard rattle  on speeds >60 on the serrated sabka tracks😂..

i did crack one of my suspension bush which was replaced by the shop.

These will get your pockets lighter by almost 8.5k along with spacers (H&R).

One another note , There is a slight vibration that I get when driving on road at 90-110 which my mechanic says is due to change in transmission shaft angle cos of the lift. M not sure if @Alexanderrr @Simon Dawood @Mus_hus78 have experienced it yet.

overall I am happy with the experience so far!

@GauravSoni, i am not experiencing  any vibration at the moment , but i did when my engine and gearbox mount needed to be replaced

  6. it was the shortest warm-up ever ( i would say 5 tire rotations 😅) before @Hisham Masaad unleashed the Power of his Fj against the soft big dues of shuwieb,  where everyone tired to keep up with his pace .

The unfortunate event with @Ranjan Das Jeep changed the plan into finding the safest and nearest exit which was amazingly planned by @Hisham Masaad and @Islam Soliman and executed by the mighty @Karthik Raptor Bro amazing driving, it not the V8 that made it possible but its the great driver behind the wheel ( Hats Off ).💪

Shuwieb is really unexpected, as @Hisham Masaad and @Islam Soliman went to find a safe exit , i got myself pulled into a very soft and relatively small pocket but them saved by the rope of our wonderful Support @Waqas Parvez ( thanks Man for the Tug) .

The friendship bond that you can feel between the convoy member was very interesting to witness on that day . usually we don't get the chance as much to sit, chat, and discuss different topics. but you could tell that everyone was worried about @Ranjan Das car and hoping to get it out to the safezone in one piece.

    @Imteeaz flowless SL

@Sunil Mathew @MMansoor , @ASAD., @Mohamad Anwer @Vaibhav always great to see you guys, i am sure we  will conquer shuwieb next time 💪.

@Ranjan Das i hope your car issue is fixed , looking to see you soon .
