  3. Xenon ballasts is freaking, as no other component to doubt other than ballasts itself. And unfortunately its the most expensive part in headlight system. For changing, i am not sure about mechanic or garage as i try new mechanic every time to get better service (first time). You can look few fellas here: http://www.audidubai.com/workshop/
  4. 2004 model with 135k kms Audi S8 making sligh hesitation on full throttle since a month now. It was never like this before, and very slowly hesitation on almost every full throttle is becoming more evident now. Is it engine getting old and tired after 135000 kms of driving or something else. Car has been regularly serviced and very well taken care since 2 years. Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks Admin, for such an approach towards this issues. Naboodah / Audi doing business and this there main profit center for fixing cars and repairing cars. Anything that hampers that share will be taken down ethically or unethically. Brand enthusiasm and community talks is only for real owners like us, who pay there hard earned money to buy Audi, and not for dealers. They don't want us to talk anything other than just handing over the credit card and swiping few thousands for each visit we make. I remember sometime back, i mentioned this forum to service adviser in Dubai and he just pretended that such forum doesn't exists. That's how these people are trained to act, ignorance is bliss. Regarding newspaper ad, it cost around 30k - 60k for each half page advertisement that comes from our cars services, spares and new purchases. They shouldn't have been so cruel in getting our facebook fanpage deleted.
  6. Nice detailed explaination Saleem, good work bro.
  7. Better go early afternoon, to get parking and you also can get better bargain as soon as these guys open shop by 2-3 pm.
  8. i am not a dealer, i only have an idea of the cost that will be 2500 to 2800 i think i had purchased it 4 years back.
  9. If you know where the connection is check that first.
  10. i am sure that they must have some date. everything has an expiry date. if now you should check with the staff.
  11. Its an expensive and very techy but basically mechanical job. Go to serious person, no road sides please.
  12. Be very careful, as its very very hot part. Better do when car is fully cold. The best way to take the manifolds off is to remove the heads first. Unbolt the manifolds from the downpipes and removed them with the heads.
  13. Too much intelligence is also not good. I miss old school cars with just gear stick and steering
  14. Sory for late reply folks, it was actually a heat shield as pointed by sami.
  15. Go ad upgrade to ADVAN V103 or Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Yokohama S.Drive is next best.
  16. Thanks Sami and Mafrooq, will definitely change it soon.
  17. Thanks a lot sami, will check this weekend. Very tricky place to doubt. Good lead.
  18. Looks like your ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is switching on and causing you loss of power. Usually it happens on sand, snow or slippery surface where car tend to loose friction and slip and ESP acutomatically switch on and takes control of your ride preventing any accident. Check your fuses, relays and rear brake lamps are fine or not. If not fix them first (cheaper fix). If all is fine, then its ESP sensors failure and it might cost your around 3500 aed from dealer depending on ur luck and relation with dealer.
  19. What is the ATF life span in AUDI A6 transmission? Thinking of changing it as experiencing some slight minor gear issues. Any help is highly appreciated.
  20. I have strange grinding noise in reverse sometimes. Is it common issue with Audi A4 or some weirdo bug?
  21. If your instrument cluster has 2 knobs, one on each side (Older A4's, 1998-2004 A6's, TT's up to ~2006): 1. Press the right knob and hold it, turn the ignition on, release the right knob and press the left knob, the display should change to service in ----- miles. Or.... 2 A TT Cluster With 2 Knob Setup 2. Press the right knob and hold it. Turn the ignition on and release the right knob and pull the left one. Then, push the right knob again and pull the left knob again. The display where the mileage is shown should change. 3 A Newer A4 Dash With The Wrench Button If your instrument cluster has a little wrench on a button on the right (2002-2008 A4's): Press and hold the wrench button. Turn the ignition on, release the wrench button and press the 0,0 button next to it. The center display should change. 4 If you have a older body A8, you may be able to reset without a scan tool. Press the 0,00 button on the right of the cluster, turn the ignition on and release the 0,00 button and press the "M" or "Mode" button on the left and it should reset. If this does not work, or you have a 2004 or newer A8, it will probably require a scan tool. 5 If you have a much older or newer Audi, or certain A8's, you need a scan tool or a special made service light reset tool, available online. You can also purchase after market software and a adapter lead for your laptop and use that. The reset tools will come with instructions. The After market software will go as follows: On most older vehicles, enter vehicle self diagnosis. Go to #17: Instrument cluster. Go to adaptations, and change the following adaptation channel numbers to the number listed next to it, following the on screen prompts to save and accept. Channel 5 --> 12 Channel 6 --> 24 Channel 7 --> 36 Channel 8 --> 72 6 If you have a A3, 2009+ A4, 2005+ A6 or 2004+ A8, or a Q7 and are using the after market software: Go to guided functions, go to service work, go to reset service light, or something of that nature, and follow the on screen prompts.
