  1. I think slowpokes should be named and shamed in public so that they can avoid such stupidity ever again. I see them on daily basis as well and love driving at max speed in slow lane. lol.
  2. Surprise to see so many wrong responses. Isn't is supposed to be the beginning of the year, so that you enjoy the car for full year against the full year depreciation?
  3. As per my brief experience with Mazda in past, Galadari is not very easy in honoring warranty if car under warranty, so I am not sure if this known defect as treks suspecting will be covered by dealer or not as your car is already 8 years old and out of warranty. However it's worth checking with previous owner or galadari if they have carried this repair in past or not?
  4. What are the best Ramdan deals on new cars you have heard, so far......? Anyone has any news on Toytota or Lexus cars are on good discount this ramadan period in Dubai?
  5. Car spare parts import duty and taxes is generally charged at 5%, but the calculations are bit more complex by adding the cost of goods + shipping cost + insurance cost. You can check here the exact calculation for your requirements: http://www.dutycalculator.com/country-guides/Import-duty-taxes-when-importing-into-United-Arab-Emirates/ your calculation: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/saved_calculations/view_details/199894567 import duty and tax calculator: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation
  6. you can buy directly from their website they charge 80-90 USD extra for international shipping to UAE. I don't know anyone here selling Arnott, secondly they do provide lifetime warranty for their products in US and EU, so I assume it will def last much longer than any OEM shit that cost fortune here. I advise same to my colleague who drive BMW X5 and since last three years he has not complained of ballons that he use to change every 15-18 months.
  7. different km have differnt major service varying from All lubes and fluids change, all braking change, timig belt etc. Refer this link of same forum having good km based info viewtopic.php?f=3&t=20
  8. This requires a special tool which spins the piston clockwise and simultaneously presses the piston in. This is do to the park brake system being incorporated into the caliper. If you can fashion a method to turn the piston with the notches on the face (portion that contacts the brake pad) and then push, turn, push, turn, etc. You may be able to get it in. This has the two V notches and will be difficult without the special tool. DO NOT scratch the sides of the piston as this is the sealing surface, and will then require replacement of the caliper.
  9. Check AC and Clutch viscose fan is working fine or not.
  10. toe in and toe out are not electronically measured.
  11. Check pump if working by jumping the relay cable. It has a thermal switch that cuts it off at certain temp and when that switch is bad it stalls the pump. Go for Arnott parts for air suspension system they last forever.
  12. Different shops are giving me different answers. One tells me you have to use Mobil 1, another says you don't need synthetic, one says you can use 5-30 or 5-40. What do most people use and if you use synthetic how long between changes? help thanx
