I second to Iroc, boot should be completely sealed and loaded with grease so that joint wont run dry. If once boot tear and car run for a while or if you are in doubt then its better to change to save the hassle and labor cost for second time.

Fuel pump change depends on type of fuel you are using, In Dubai its good clean and it shouldn't give problem even till 100k km. However if you have been traveling to Oman than i think you should change fuel filter every 40k at least and pump when needed. If you going to Saudi, fuel filter every 10k and wait whenever fuel pump dies soon than later.
