  1. What a grueling front looks Audi has designed. Im not techy of Audi engineering, but love this looks completely. Hope it runs fast and safe as well, for serious guys so that we can see this in Dubai soon. lol.
  2. WTF, guys.......! Lambo can catch fire with so small duff duff, that's not right. There must be something seriously wrong with it.
  3. This spy shot looks like a Rhinoceros car. Is this SUV / MPV....? Whatever they are planning it looks weird on proportions, unless they have some damn futuristic looks to back this fugly shape.
  4. This Is How Car Manufacturers Test their vehicles on the Nurburgring!
  5. This really looks like a toy car design with oversize tires, suspension and fenders. In all honesty Peugeot has really tough challenge to even complete the Dakar rally, let alone winning in first three.
  6. This will defintely comes in next CX9, as it's very close and similar looking design, second mazda doesnt have any any other suv platform than cx5,7,9. Thirdly all major changes to flagship models is announced as a concept car to see gauge consumers sentiment and reaction toward the new change.
  7. Mustang any day, if both rides are at par with power and consumption. Camaro is more like a show ride now, than an actual muscle car.
  8. Lack of lane discipline, especially lane swerving is considered to be a leading cause of death on the road in UAE. While cases of driving under the influence has been curtailed due to strict rules and punishments, there are several other reasons or distractions that lead to lane swerving . And it is just about taking some simple extra precautions to ensure smooth travel, while maintaining your particular lane. Always keep your vehicle in the center of your lane; not to the left, not to the right. On multiple lane highways, keep your car to the right, giving way for faster cars to travel on the lane to your left. Overtaking from the right is illegal.Use indicators before changing lanes. Very important point for UAE cars, as many drivers don't use this at all. When stopping at a red light, ensure that you are in the lane where you would want to be after the interchange.Distractions should be avoided, especially phone calls or SMS. According to a report, ‘Despite it being illegal in the UAE, nearly a third (30%) of motorists admit to using their phones and reading texts while driving. Speaking with passengers (44%), changing the radio station (40%), and adjusting the air conditioning (34%) are other major reasons why drivers lose concentration. The stunning skyline of the UAE is also enough for 8% of drivers to become distracted’.Allow enough space ahead and practice safe distance. Many accidents involve rear-end collisions. In heavy traffic, when the lanes merge, use the ‘merging in turn’ rule - the left car goes first, then the right one.Solid lines should not be crossed.Do not drive on a cycle lane, bus lane or yellow line – emergency lane (hard shoulder).Avoid frequent lane changes.Turn your headlights on if the daylight is dim or during other low-visibility weather conditions, and always use turn signals (indicators). Always check your mirrors every few seconds to see what is beside and behind you.Ensure that you limit to the legal speed limit in ideal conditions. If you need more help, or need specific answer for any question then try the ‘Carnity Forum’ (http://carnity.com/) section or find car businesses near you with the Carnity ‘Business listing’ (http://carnity.com/business_listing) section.
  9. FJC is much better option in terms of all round performance with reasonable comfort level. Prado is too common and quickly generalize as one type of people (can't say here). So stay away from rat race and go for FJC.
  10. This comparison is amazing to show how different GCC nations have hugely varying fuel prices. Cheapest being in Saudi and most expensive almost 4 times is in UAE..........! 0.59 AED Saudi Arabia0.77 AED Kuwait0.95 AED Qatar1.00 AED Bahrain1.14 AED Oman (Almost half of UAE new price)2.14 AED UAE (Ouch.....!)
  11. Wasl testing center in Garhoud area is another empty option. And even better they work 24 hours, literally 24 hours as I got one car renewal done at 2 am over the weekend.
  12. ML and Touareg, same as Yanik is my votes and I agree with his thoughts
  13. That's a boring movie man, based on loads of BS. Well for cars, manufacturer just need to come with security patches to avoid such remote control and I don't think it's big deal. Since lately something similar happen with google autonomous car as a safety and security issue and they are working on those bugs atm.
  14. Call RTA and you will get the full process, they have really improved with their customer service over the years.
  15. hahhah, very mean but true Mark. Still what I like about Ford is keeping every car character alive from the past, irrespective of the price, shapes and hp's you still can relate Explorer, Mustang, Fiesta etc to their older version.
  16. Most of the drivers that drives slow in fast lane is actually a fast driver but busy texting or calling on phone and loosing concentration to keep the speed and resulting in huge gap between the front car. Few drivers do this intentionally that gives them time to switch their eyes from screen to road and vice versa. I have seen this many times, as when you honk or dip light to wake them up they run like a crazy horse in the most dinkiest possible car they have.
  17. Thanks Guys, I have successfully brainwashed or convinced my wife for Xterra, as she is not doing any job that she drive daily but she will drive short trips to mall once or twice a week. We are open for good clean Xterra, if anyone selling here please let me know. Thanks for all the advice and real concern, really appreciate it.
  18. Well after warranty, I don't see a point to get dealer service unless there is some major faulty or long standing breakdown history and you need specialize support to make sure car keep running fine. If Car is doing good and have absolutely no issues then any workshop is fine to carry out schedule maintenance service. Just follow the schedule maintenance items and you will be good.
  19. Saleem, I accept that S class is good in luxury option but calling them benchmark is not quite true. There are very fine Jaguar, BMW, Lexus and Porsche rules far above S class level, no offence. Be it from luxury options, spaciousness, new tech, performance Mercedes is not at the top yet for sure.
  20. My driving instructor told me long back a simple way to maintain safe distance is drive as close or as far from vehicle in front until you see their rear tires touching the ground. Now that logic was great in Nissan Sunny (learner's vehicle) and fit well in sedan and sports car, but not applicable for 4WD . So 4WD driver need to install a laser pointing measure tool in their car to check 5 meters......
  21. Thanks Ethan, I gues I lost that pitching opportunity already as I have made her try both cars and LR2 was first and she loved it so much over Xterra that I don't have anyway to say NO. On top of it three of her friends drive same so she also wants that perfect wifey.....gggrrrrrr. However, lemme try the bigger space logic (thanks a tin) for shopping bags. stroller and baby seat might roll the dices in my favor.
  22. I am also using Adnoc Eplus in older car from last 3 year and it runs perfect no complaint about Adnoc Eplus fuel grade.
  23. Nissan Altima, is much better bet than Mazda 6 because of better build quality, good Nissan reliability and amazing performance over Mazda anyday. Yes it will be expensive than Mazda 6, but worth every dirham if you can afford it.
  24. I think bank is always good in this country as their interest is toooooooo low as compare to lot many other countries car loan, and you can make good use of your cash. Hassles is just temporary for few days to max week, gains are bigger like few thousand dirhams at least.
  25. What should be the best vehicle for my wife grocery run and my occasional (once a month) sand offroad drives: Land Rover LR2 (2010 model) or Nissan Xterra (2012 model). All advises and bashing is welcome My offroad is not very aggressive, but I want a capable vehicle for Dubai sand off-road.
