E39 made until 2003 in GCC specs, 2004 had new shape and more plastic introduced. E39 is my most favorite car of all time, nice BM feel unlike today's car. Ground hugging and solid feel.

Step one : Make sure you have the correct tyre pressure in each tyre.Using iDrive Press menu button and then the start menu is called up. Step Two : Press the controller to call up the "I" menu and choose vehicle setting and press the controller. Step Three: Choose "RPA" and press the controller and Start the engine but do not move the car Step Four: Choose "tire pressure" and press the controller, Choose yes and press the controller Step Five: Drive off the message "Initializing" is displayed Initializing is completed during the journey. the control display then shows Status "RPA Active" again. This should stop your warning light from coming on

Get to emarat station and ask attendant to check the all differential oils and gear oil to be sure that you aren't running dry. If minor its ok, if level is too low get that fix asap.

Check all brake pads, if its not touching the brake drum? Check all tires backside isnt rubbing against some plastic, heat shield, fender etc. Check AC fan belt, as its quite common and put some wd40 in belt if it stops the it means belt is running dry and its better to change before it snaps.

Better get the computer diagnostic done than relying on one o two mechanic say. If it shows the computer code of Air flow meter issue than that is bad and causing this smoke by running engine on rich fuel. If exhaust code is shown or no code is shown then u can doubt cat. You can get aftermarket one much cheaper than the genuine one (if you want).

i just banged my x1 2005 and broke my side view mirror i really regret it coz even it was my fault that when reversing i did not see the wall that it banged into.. i have tried allll my luck in deira and karama to find it in the scrap but no luck if i go to the insurance guys they will charge me bomb (as it is my fault) so i wanna knw if i get a scarp form anywhere else thanks
