  1. X6 has a wider rear track, is lighter and with a lower CoG. Comparing the style and ride of the X6 to the X5 is just wrong. i think both stand at a very strong market share value but at the same time many people prefer the coupe.
  2. hello guys, yes sorry for not posting an update. I had it fixed at the dealership. There was an issue with the top mechanism and they had to access the wires attached to the motor which were disconnected. Anyways the top works perfectly now. I would suggest you go directly to get it fixed. Doing it yourself might cause problems on your luxurious car
  3. Hiya ... i have a 6 series convertible and the automatic convertible top wont close/secure completely. Has someone else come up with this kind of problem before? or can someone help me to look into the issue? What can it be the motor or the closing options? Is there an alternative way to close it till i can take it to the dealership guys?
  4. Let me share a little experience i had with my first brand new bmw. this was almost five years ago. I didnt pay much attention to the windshield wipers. my thinking was that if they are working they dont need attention. then i started to notice freaking scratches on the front! guides tell you to replace them every six months which i think is an exaggeration but nevertheless, i never ignore them and do replace them as soon as they seem cracked or worn out.
  5. The traditional automatic car simply slows down smoothly after you lift your foot off the gas but the SMG does not. You feel like its shutting down its power altogether because a noticeable deacceleration immediately occurs. Instantly you apply pressure back on the gas pedal because you think the car is slowing down too much and too unexpectedly and then the car jerks. Now the mechanical reasoning behind that is something only a technician can explain, but i can assure you that this happens with all SMGs.
  6. Not only do you have to fill up the brake fluid reservoir but you will have to work with the tires, bleeder valve and the entire brake system. The vehicle will have to be lifted and rested at a height on like jack stands. Cant do it yourself. You will have to talk to a mechanic. Nonetheless it is easy at their facility and you can have it done in an hour.
  7. relatively simple process .. google is your best friend.
  8. Okay thanks guys ... that easy to understand. Two more dumb questions 1. Is this feature found only in the M series of BMW or can be found in other series as well? 2. Obviously BMW wouldn't add anything to the car which would affect the car or it's engine but what are the reviews of this feature. The cars with this feature VS the cars without this feature ... anything noticeable?

  10. Salaam everybody. thanks for all the useful information. guess an X3 is not an option for me so I might as well go for another car ... just too scared to buy an x3 now. may God bless you all.
  11. Hi bmw enthusiasts i have recently developed an interest in this car and plan to upgrade to it soon ... read some features and what the car promises to its customers ... one thing i don't have much knowledge about is the launch control feature ... can someone shed light on what this feature is and which models posses this feature? thanks
  12. being BMW fanatics ... me and my friend always thought that no matter what we will stick to the brand and buy whatever bmws we can He bought a second-hand 325i like last week and me and him were inspecting it ... the car is in fine condition but i found something very small but confusing about the steering wheel. As far as my knowledge goes, I think bmw only provides leather wrapped steering wheels, this one looked like it had a rubber cover on but not leather at all. I can say for sure that it is a cover but the material is highly unconventional. i don't know what happened here so can anyone tell me how I can find out if whether it is leather or not. PS. we have also got in touch with the person who sold it to him just to see if he would know. Ciao
  13. Hi guys, The X6 is one of my dream cars and i was reading some efficiency dynamics provided in the car... i just cant seem to get around their brake energy regeneration technology in the car. Can someone be kind enough to shed some light on it? Thankss
  14. My 323 drives perfectly all day without any problems but at time it starts hesitating which gets me worried and i have to stop the car wait and then move. What should i do?
