Safety Recall Campaign for Power Sliding Door software 2019 - 2015 Model Year (MY) CARNIVAL (YP) vehicles.
Al Majid Motors Co. exclusive distributor of KIA in the United Arab Emirates released the following statement:
In coordination with Competition Consumer Protection Department in the ministry of Economy and in line with its commitment to conduct an on- going review of all product in the UAE and provide the consumers with the required protection, Al Majid Motors Co. The UAE importer- Dealer of KIA vehicles, announce a safety recall campaign for Power Sliding Door software 2019 ~2015 Model Year (MY) CARNIVAL (YP) vehicles.
"Following communication with KIA Motors Corporation, we have started a campaign on 826 units of the Carnival MY 2019 -2015 in the UAE.
This campaign aims to upgrade the Power Sliding Door software of some 2019 ~ 2015 MY CARNIVAL (YP) vehicles to improve Power Sliding Door actuation logic, if necessary.
In the interests of delivering the highest standards of KIA quality and customer care, Al Majid Motors has begun contacting customers with affected models to inform them about the situation and arrange booking accordingly.
For further clarification, customer may contact Al Majid Motors Customer Care Center on -800KIAUAE (542823-800) from 08:00 am ~ 08:00 pm- Saturday to Thursday.
