Apologies for delay and posting drive on short notice. After last intermediate drive limited interest, I think we should continue newbie/fewbie drives until the intermediate drivers are back in their form. This week we plan to explore our lovely Mahafiz dunes, that offers great mix of newbies and fewbie level on continuous rolling medium sized dunes. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might go on top of fossil rock and lay our spread. This area offers a great mix of playable dunes and medium dunes to test your night driving skills. Depending on convoy strength and liking will plan the route to fit everyone's taste. Offroad lights are recommended for a night drive, but if you don't have you can still drive safely with your HIGH BEAM. As the summer heat is in full form, our night drive is the only escape to enjoy the good breeze and pleasant weather in the desert (fingers crossed). This time we are heading to our much-loved sandbox of Pink Rock in Tawi Nazwa area. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might continue to Bidayer, if not then we will end at 2nd Dec cafeteria for easy exit. Welcoming night drives is always fun to enjoy the desert at night, which is one of the most amazing experience. You can enjoy the silence, cloud full of stars, escape the heat, enjoy the breeze and sometimes even fog. As it's a first night drive, so we will start a little easy and then gradually bump up the pace and level, so that everyone can get hang of it and enjoy safely. We will start from Bidayer and play around the big red first from all sides and then head towards the Pink rock and play all the way on all peak dunes. Will end the drive at Pink Rock and lay our spread for suhoor with the newbie and fewbie convoy. Anyone who wishes to leave early can do so by 4 AM, as we reach to Pink Rock near 2nd Dec Cafeteria exit. Its time to enjoy an evening drive and adrenaline dose in fresh sand dunes to challenge your senses and 4x4, with the best offroad enthusiasts in UAE. As the summer is arriving so we are moving towards evening and night drives now, so let's open the first evening drive with an 80% mix of daylight and 20% with headlights surely able to thrill all your senses. This drive will also enable us to gear up and learn important aspects of desert driving in the nights, as it would be easier for newbies to join in night drives after this introductory drive. Pink rocks in Sharjah is a perfect place for fewbie level offroad desert drive, that spans through medium to big size dunes. This area offers plenty of opportunities for offroaders to learn and advance their offroading skills in a very safe and controlled manner. The plan is to start easy through newbie level dunes for first few minutes to get convoy spirit warmed up enough and then get into the more challenging area that offers real adrenaline fix for aspiring dune bashers. Depending on the number of signups we might split into different convoys of newbies and fewbies to have a different level of drive for all the participants. After so many newbie and newbie+ level drives, let's have some moderately thrilling dune bashing for fewbie level, this area sand dunes are for fewbie - intermediate level only. So let's have a nice afternoon drive from Big red to Pink rock area beautiful rolling dunes. Plan to play all along the way, so we can enjoy for a couple of hours before it gets dark and then lay our spread near the pink rock area. Let's have an absolute newbie drive. All first timer absolute newbie will be given a proper introduction of sand off-roading before they start from seasoned offroaders having over decades of UAE offroad experience. Idea is to make the newbie (first timer) comfortable with sand off-roading and in some of the most approachable set of sand dunes in Tawi Nizwa side. It's a perfect drive for people aspiring to start dune bashing or offroading in the sand as a new hobby. And wish to explore the UAE offroad natural beauty and unleash the hidden power of your 4x4 vehicle. All experienced members are requested to join in helping newbies by imparting their off-road expertise.
