Good morning guys I own a 2012 model Toyota fortuner thought of increasing the body height so that going off roading gets easier can you suggest what's the right way of doing it.

Calling all experts An year ago, futtaim diagnosed that my steering rack is faulty. I took it to my local garage and he seconded futtaim's opinion. So how it started? One chilling morning of 2015, I feel a bit of vibration in the accelerator pedal after much notice I realised that it is only when I turn steering at a specific point (let's say from middle to 30 degree right). This was ignored then the vibration became humming noise and then a squeak but only at a specific point. Journey from vibration to hum to squeak was over 3 months or so. Later I got the steering rack replaced as suggested by the futtaim even though my mechanic was saying that local lathe (khirad) / machining would to the job. Same stuff is happening again just after 12 months of replacing the whole steering rack (OEM). It only hums now when cold after 10 kms it is fine I dont feel anything. Any suggestions what is causing it as I feel that may be we did not address the right problem? My car: Toyota Prado 2010 4.0L TXL

Hi Guys, I am new to Dubai and came across your website which looks so informative. So many wonderful posts. I have gone dune bashing with my cousins and I guess I have a dune bug that has bitten me. Now I want to get my own off-road monster. I am divided between the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series and the Nissan Patrol and so far my cousins have been great help to confuse me even more. I would like to have opinion from the car gurus here as to which one is better for say 70% of on-road driving and 30% desert driving. What is power to weight ratio, and which one is better? Which one is more comfortable on-road? Which one is better in the desert drive? Which one has more after market mods available? Which one is lower on maintenance? Generally fewer headaches and more fun? I am eagerly awaiting your valuable inputs, and hope you will not leave me confused like my cousins.

Toyota has released information and a massive photo gallery with its all-new Hilux pickup truck for European markets. I am not sure is that will be working for UAE also ? Being new in the country not sure about its, Will be great if anybody help in choosing the car with GCC specs. Thanks

Just came across a news on FB that this time Toyota is really ending the production of FJ cruiser in August 2016 unlike the news or rumor spread out in 2014. Has anyone came across the same? How sure it is this time? Any replacement planned like in US market they replaced it with 4Runner? If it's true, it's really a sad news to loose such a successful and capable off-road for middle eastern market. Too bad Toyota.

I never had any big issue so far with this car. Until when I gone for an oil change and my local garage guy told me that my oil was really really low a month before on a first time, now before 3 days he told me the same thing ""Oil is very very low"". I been curious about to know why? Simply because my oil was not dripping and I don't travel a lot. well yesterday when I was came home after Abu Dhabi client meeting, I felt my car started out rattling like the engine is likely to fall down, I observed that my oil light will come on whenever I break for a few an after few minutes goes away. I did not understood this and did car to think of it because of getting late in the evening. Just before reaching to my home in Sharjah I again felt that the rattling the disturbance had gotten more intense so I took it in to car store and there the guy is saying that my engine oil was bone dried. I don't understand why!! Just 5 days back I changed the engine oil. Can anybody suggest what could be a possible repair for this issue? Is it a problem with oil or something else?? I am damn afraid because my car is too old now. Before seeing in dead I think I should repair and sell it?? -
Hi Friends, Proudly I hav a Toyota 2009 FJ which had run has 98000 Km. I recently reported a problem, I am noticing a vibration when I am going about 35-45 km of speed, I ask some of friend who have FJ, they said that I might need new transmission. At the same I spoke to one of known garage guy about the problem he said that this type of car does not need a transmission services, the transmission fluid that set up is expected to last through out the life. Everyone said it's nothing but I always noticed something was wrong, came upon this site just to get to know if someone has the solution or experiencing a same issue. The car shudders around 35 kmph and worries me that it will go completely out. Now I don't know what to do. I really Love the FJ and don't wish to get rid of it. Any advice or suggestion? -
I am sure many of the Toyota's Lover know that the Japanese motorsports division Gazoo Racing Meister of Nürburgring (GRMN) has introduced Toyota 86 GRMN, it's a concept car, racing version of the automaker's sports car. Documented in PR ""The concept will be shown at the 40th Nürburgring 24 hour race in the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, in May 2016."" According to most of the car enthusiast the issue with the special-edition Toyota cars, especially of the GT-86 taste, is not that they appear in the first place, but the reality that they exist but we cannot have them!! That is the true automotive tragedy. How many of you think the same??

I am facing a massive uses of excessive oil in my corolla, well It my very first car bought in 2001 end in November, Now the car had a run of 200000 km approx. Honestly, I was pretty much aware about its common issue faced by lot of customer about the excessive oil consumption, but at this point of time my friend its drinking oil like a water!!. It seem that oil if burning pretty quicker than before. I don’t want to be a part of joke now as it really burning oil better than gas. I never thought to repair it because I know it’s very old but honestly guy the problem is I cannot afford a new or used car at the current stage, also cannot work without a car because I used to travel daily from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi. Please help with the possible repair with no extra cost or time. I wish no one else will have such weird situation with car. Is there a possible action that I can take to make it again same like I bought it before with fair oil consumption or I will have to rent a car for sure and sell this one for limited period of time. Hope you guy understand my concern. Please help.

Hi Friend's, I know it’s quite funny to ask here this question but honestly guys this one question take almost half of my time in my office debating my friend. We always had debate on one question which is "Whose car is better Honda civic or Toyota corolla?" but this conversation never seem ending as per both of us, as he say his car best and obviously I love my car. But now we both compromised and sat down to get the solution from other car enthusiast. So finally he bring me to Carnity and ask me to raise the same question to get the solution. So what you guy will say on this Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla?
