Looking for an easy relaxing desert drive for everyone with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow in this beautiful weather. Maliha is the perfect area for starting of your offroad adventure. It offers small to medium size dunes that offer plenty of opportunity to learn the art of offroading in a safe environment. Plan is to have an early morning Newbie drive to Fossil Rock till about 10:30 am. Depending on the Fewbie response, we shall then have a second session drive towards Faya in some more challenging dunes. Sweihan dunes also regarded as "Little Liwa" by some offers plenty of opportunities to test our desert driving skills by climbing sideways, ridge riding, ridge cutting and to climb huge dunes to its peak and capture some stunning pictures. As the weather is still hot, its best to start off at the onset of sunrise and have a good 3 hours of fast paced drive through some of the most amazing dunes that UAE has to offer. With the last couple of weeks being more relaxed drives, its time to up the pace at Al Faqa which is famous for its long range dunes. It would be a first time we would be having a night drive in Al Faqa area, this season. The drive is for Intermediates and above only. In the end, we will settle down in a good spot to have Suhoor before the dawn and return to tarmac before the sunrise. Big Red area have some nice medium and big size dunes that provide plenty of opportunity for the Intermediate level drivers for a fast paced dune bashing session. We shall start at Big red and shall trace our path along some nice rolling dunes all the way to Pink Rock. There would be a lot of side slopping, ridge riding and ridge cutting involved. This drive would proceed upon minimum 4 cars registering for the drive by Thursday (April 25, 2019) morning. Pink rocks in Sharjah is a perfect place for fewbie level offroad desert drive, that spans through medium to big size dunes. This area offers plenty of opportunities for offroaders to learn and advance their offroading skills in a very safe and controlled manner. The plan is to start easy through newbie level dunes for first few minutes to get convoy spirit warmed up enough and then get into the more challenging area that offers real adrenaline fix for aspiring dune bashers. With the onset of Ramdan and upcoming summer, Carnity Offroad Club would be starting the night desert drives from May 9th. So to get everyone geared up to what it feels to drive in the night, lets have a nice Fewbie drive in our much-loved sandbox - Maliha - Fossil rock. We would be having 80% drive in daylight and the remaining 20% with the headlights of our cars. The drive would provide everyone with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, hill climb, and ridge riding. After the last few drives in terrains that had plenty of red sand, its time to change the game a bit and have a drive through the lovely white sand starting at Lisalli and ending Qudra lake. This area offers some nice medium range dunes that would offer plenty of opportunity for side slopping and ridge crossing. Also, if lucky we would be sighting gazelles and oryx the closer we get to Al Qudra. Once we reach Al Qudra, we can sit down for a nice chat around one of the lakes and have barbecue (if interested).
