What a year we have had at Carnity with some amazing drives and memories to cherish. But once the sand bug has bitten you, you just can't stay away from all the action. Eventually we all want to learn and explore more. As I was contemplating the area we should use as we already covered Maliha, Kalba, Tawi Nazwa, Bidayer where new can we take our newbies and Fewbies this time. After a lot of thinking it is the one area we have not touched on the whole of last year, Al Awir. So everyone of all levels is most welcome to join to enjoy some small to medium dunes and polish their skills in this easy area. Newbies and Fewbies will have great chance to see and learn the real fun that off-roading offers in a very safe and organized environment. Level May be changed upon convoy level. untilWeekend after weekend we are spending with each other for the love of driving in conditions we do not face during our daily drives. This weekend will be somewhat different. With New Year quick approaching and trying to keep with the traditions we should be looking for a spot to wish each other as the clock strikes 12. Unfortunately as per the current laws we cannot have a bon fire or BBQ, but we can still share pre prepared food and beverages. The idea is to start at ease in the morning so that everyone is well rested and the current situation with the fog can be eliminated. When: 29 December 2017, Friday Meeting time: 9 AM, convoy will move when dog is clear. Where: Trek bike shop Al Qudra. Depending on how quickly we can find a spot and who all are interested for a quick drive we can arrange as per convoy strength. Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance, anybody not having a 4x4 can join in and park their vehicle at the meeting point. untilI am planning a full day drive from Bidayer towards Pink Rock and on to Kalba Maliha The last time we were there we found some amazing rolling dunes, and look forward to some similar excitement. This area offers all level terrain in some easy to medium size rolling dunes, and we expect to finish at the pink rock area. This is an all level drive, fit for newbies and fewbies as well. Family outing with BBQ - 18 August

Since Ramadan we have stuck with the formula of having night drives to enjoy the absence of the sun while temperatures also become bearable by early morning before the sun rise. Time to break the fast and have a drive by day time. I'm pleased to announce the upcoming drive on 18th Aug, Friday late afternoon to let our team test our rides in the late afternoon hours. After seeing the level of all our members rise consistently this drive is not going to be as challenging compared to any of our previous drives and we will be welcoming any new comers to add to their new experience. The beauty of this area, the wide open dunes, and with the occasional sighting of wildlife like gazelles and oryx are all reasons to set your pulses racing. The plan would be to meet up at 4:30 pm as per the below link and than head out to have some awesome fun through terrain that will leave you wanting more, and we will end it with a good spot to sit around and have a BBQ session with chats about the drive, general talk and share some jokes.
