amitk
Jump starting a car is really interesting part. I used to do that before and I use to love it. Follow these steps: First, you need to make sure that if your car broke down; the reason is the battery only. You can check that when your headlights and dash lights go dim. If yes, then it’s the battery. Now, to jump start the car you will need a fresh battery from another car. Park the car with a good battery just in front of the car which broke down making sure that the distance between the car batteries is at lowest. But don’t touch the cars. Now you will need the jump clamp terminals of your battery. That’s the most essential thing that you will need. Generally the jump terminals have two colors: Red and black. The red terminal on two sides represents the positive terminal and black one negative terminal. Now first connect the positive terminals. Take the red clamp and connect it to the positive terminal of the dead battery first and then connect the second end to the positive terminal of the working battery. For the black clamp, connect one end to the negative terminal of the good battery and other end to any grounded metal of the dead car. You can use any lug nut or bolt for this purpose. Now, switch on the working car first and keep it idle for 5-10 min. Now switch on the dead car slowly. Try to accelerate the car slowly. Your car will start. After it starts working, remove the clamps from the terminals of the car and make sure they do not touch each other. If they touch each other, it may cause a short fire and sometimes the engine also gets destroyed. Also remember, once the car started working, do not put it off as it may not start again and you may have to repeat the process again.

amitk
You can rent it from any local workshop. There is no point buying it, so just rent it.
ghassank
You should always have jumper cables in your car. This way you can get a jump in case your battery dies out. You’ll never have to worry again how you’re going to get home if it happens.
