lethalsamurai
Hey Guys. I have Audi A3 from 3 years now. I want to change the starter in my car. Can i change it on my own?
edward
It is highly recommended that you get it changed from the workshop itself. If you have good knowledge about the dimensions and categories of starter, only then go for a DIY process.

fardin
Ok. To change the starter follow the points: Before removing the starter, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery cable first and then the positive cable from the starter. Now use the ratchet to remove all the bolts which is holding the starter to the block. Now disconnect the starter and and install the new one by tightening the bolts by hand first and then use the ratchet to tighten it completely. At the end you can reconnect the battery cable back to the starter. Its done!
Mach3
I would advise visiting a garage. There are many garages in UAE that can help you with this task and they don't charge much. The starter is a part of the car that is really complex although it's small.
