Car not starting - battery old or draining?

Recommended Posts

This is now happened for second time yesterday in one month, that car failed to start. When we jump start car get started. In two weeks back issue car interior lights was getting on but not starting. In yesterday incident car interior light and door ting ping also not working, completely dead.

When I jump start the car and drive for an hour and leave, car works perfectly fine and start also fine next day. Is the car battery getting old or something is draining the battery out in long stop for over 3-4 days. In both instances this was common that I started the car after 3-4 and 5-7 days gap. Please help.

If battery is older than 2 years, then it's good get it change. If battery is new then see an electrician to diagnose any power leak, you can't do it yourself as you require AMP meter to see if car is chewing any power while it's off.

All good advices above, another point of consideration is if you use any phone or GPS charger plugged into cigg lighter socket than remove it when not in use. As these minute looking creature sometime suck up whole battery if car left unused for few days (as in your case).
