Roadside Assistance

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just moved to the UAE a couple of months back. Is there any reliable roadside assistance company here in the UAE? I know a few Insurance companies that claim to include this for free, but end up sending 3rd party companies to tow or jumpstart your vehicle. I would rather deal with a company that specialises in this area and would go out of their way for a customer no matter where the vehicle broke down.

Thanks, George.

If you are using A class insurance like AXA, RSA and few others you dont need to bother about third party issue as they have their own team who is fully equipped to deal in most of the cases. Buying separate service for this cause is usually useless if you are staying within city limits, in remote areas it is def helpful.

I do have AXA insurance and my battery went dead last week. I called AXA and to my surprise a company called "Right Choice" showed up! My Cayenne had to be towed to their workshop in Deira to do a battery replacement. So, not so A class for AXA. It seams to me that this is what all or most insurance companies do.

I ask again, is there any company specialising in this type of service? Something reliable?

The best recovery company available in the UAE is AAA, you call  04 2 858 989 for any queries.

Another company I would trust is ATC, they are affiliated with EMSF (Emirates Motor Sport Federation), they can recover you even from the middle of the desert.

Al Wuheida Street, Al Mamzar - Po Box 5078
Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Tel: +971 4 2961122 - Fax: +971 4 2961133

Hope this helps.

Great mind think alike, I swear I was about to write AAA name and @Rahimdad did that already.

If you don't mind spending little extra for peace of mind, AAA is best and almost close to AA standards in US and UK.

Thanks @Rahimdad and @Danny for the help. I hate to be the negative guy here, sorry for this. Will look into ATC or call them up.

A friend of my wife, car parked at the mall of the Emirates did not start. She is a AAA member through her insurance company, called them up and they refused to assist her, no coverage inside basements or covered interior parking areas. After a few calls, she called one of those local battery replacement companies. They came only to discover it was a starter motor problem, luckily for her they helped by pushing the car outside! Got it on a tow truck and her car was sent to their workshop.

Oh boy!!!

Experiences differ on time, place and situation, if AAA cannot help than there are very few out there who can.

Yes, it would be nice to have one good reliable company that gives you peace of mind and takes care of their paying customer whatever the time, place or situation.

Totally agree, food for thought for deep pockets here who wish to open new business in UAE. You have ready customers to pay for your service and will never leave you if you are honest and less snobbish.

BTW, anyone ask why AAA can't go in the basement where almost every building here in Dubai have at least 2-3 level down basement parking. Sounds really dumb logic - charge extra (big deal), but do what you supposed to do at least.

Let's root for each other & watch each other grow.
