Transmission clunking? Doesn't make sense

I recently bought a used Cadillac Escalade. I want to know what to expect in terms of maintenance and repairs and what issues I could likely face. The transmission when dropping back to gear-one makes a clunk just before the vehicle stops. It’s very annoying. I have taken it to 2 people and am still stuck with the same problem. Anyone with a solution?

I also had the same issue I called the guys over at Liberty Autos and they advised that I lube the transmission spline. I got it done and it is doing better. See if this works out for you as well.

I have an Escalade with a noisy front end when it is maneuvering at low speed. I have taken it to the dealership, Liberty Autos if I am not wrong and gotten the column tightened and suspension lubed but still the problem persists.

It has frustrated me.

I am planning to sell it.

And who would expect something like that from a Cadillac Esc!

My wife’s steering wheel did not rotate back after a turn a while ago. We replaced the steering column support but it’s still the same. It’s such a hassle steering maneuvers. Anyone with the same issue?
