Inline & Boxer engines differences - video

As a mechanic, I will choose an inline engine because it's easier to work on. Ever had to lift a boxer off its mounts to change spark plugs? Or remove the engine completely just to do head work?

As a driver, I'll choose the boxer. The lower center of gravity makes for good handling characteristics. Unless you're driving a 911 where the manufacturer still thinks it's a good idea to hang the engine out behind the rear wheels. But you could point out the same with Audi who hang their inline engines out over the front wheels.
