Sounds pretty sweet, well done.

So finally who win the owner or you? In changing all rubbers and seals before plonking the engine?

whatever he brought we fixed the valve cover seals, main seal, ck pulley seal, cam seals, timing belt, aluminium cam sprockets, converter seals and output shaft seal  but some parts he was going to get custom built but couldn't get them (turbo piping) so i convinced him to fix what we have at hand and use the car while those parts last and while the car is in use he can put things according to his taste and later upgrade it...its better have a running car then one stopped in workshop waiting for parts...

A smart owner, finally he managed to do what he really want to do than just listening.

its not about smart or not its about waiting for parts which is a roll of dice if it fits or not (he ordered a blowby valve which took 15 days to reach and in the end was not for his car)he also ordered a big ass radiator which was so big and had brackets different than the ones which was in both cars so it means that the radiator was also for a different car

I meant smart owner to replace as many parts, seals and rubber component of a scrap engine as oppose to your advice to plonk it as it is.

that engine was a running one we started that half cut before buying it...and the important things like the seals and timing belt must be changed as its been a sitting thing for who know how long but about things like the turbo pipes and other switches which are original and working but are being changed for no apparent reason...
