rajveer045
Hi, Often when i am at the fuel station and when the fuel cap is opened to fuel-up while the engine is running the engine shuts off, has anyone faced this situation before? What could be causing this?
shadow79
have you tried fueling in slow and fast mode respectively and seen any difference and often when you say so what exactly is the needle level when it often dies...?
rajveer045
Sorry i haven't paid attention to the fueling speed, but i usually fuel up when my tank is just below the 1/4 mark. Guess i will note down the observations next time on at what instance it dies

Barry
It's good manners to turn your car off when refilling. The fuel boy is standing outside all day in the heat and standing beside a hot running car isn't nice for anyone is this weather. Anyway, some cars won't run properly without the fuel cap because of the way the EVAP system is set up. Might be normal for your model. Still worth finding a friendly mechanic and asking him to run a scan and see if P0440 comes up then you can investigate further.
