Per A
Hi Im having a hard time finding what Pajeros have the factory diff locker or is it all of them newer? If some one have any info or know where i can find it i would appreciate it. Regards Per
Srikumar
All the Pajero's have a central diffloc (4HLc mode) as default. Its only in the top end version 3.8 litre that you have a rear diffloc as an additional locker.

Srikumar
as I know all the 3.8 version would have a rear diffloc. The switch for the same would be located below the aircon controls.

Srikumar
and with a SWB if possible...also try to stay away from the 2009 - 2013 models. These models had an unusual problem of automatic upshifting on tiptronic from 1st to 2nd gear I have heard that post 2014 or 2015 this issue was resolved.
Frederic
It’s a bit strange. The 2008 LWB gold edition I bought for my wife is a 3.8 but without rear diff lock option. Apparently that gold edition was made for Qatar market mainly according to the seller but I haven’t seen that confirmed somewhere. The Pajeros in other countries got their rear diff lock replaced by LSD and other electronic gadgets from what I’ve read. 2 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." Barry
I never understood why they don’t fit LSD as standard to all 4wds
Srikumar
@Barry, I think while offroading a proper locker would be better than a LSD at anytime. Correct me if I am wrong
Gaurav
I had LSD (Limited Slip Differential) in my LC100 and 8 out of 10 times it failed in self-recovery. I have rear diff lock in Pajero and 9 out of 10 times it works GREAT in self-recoveries even in some cresting positions 2 Let's root for each other & watch each other grow.
