Hold Light is Blinking

Recommended Posts

I have Chevrolet Aveo 2006. Since 4 months i have problem with Engine light. While driving suddenly the engine light come & the hold light on dashboard start blinking & the gear goes in Safe mode. While accelarating, the car start jerking then if i stop at one place the hold light goes off. I had done Computer testing 2 time & it shows some code with tramission problem. They clear it out & after sometime again i am having the same problem.

Recently i did Computer test & it says "LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TCM". I don't understand what is the actual problem & it don't want to waste more money on computer testing.

It seems that there is a electrical problem or something wrong in Gear.

Please suggest where should i take my car to solve this problem.

Thanks & Regards

Sorry to hear about your ordeal with light issues.

Best bet is to deal the problem one by one. Usually check engine light comes for a reason. It could be small or big it depends on the fault code it throws. First time fault code pointed gear issue, that seems to me quiet right and the mechanic who forced to clear it was a mistake. You should have been fixing that first and then clear the code. Do you remember exact code so that i can advise you better.

Second time Lost comm must be due to bad OBD tool mechanic is using. Suggest if you dont have first guy fault code. Get the third computer check with CHEVY SPECIALIST who uses GM certified scan tool that is capable of digging more precisely than the generic tool for all brand.

Once you get the new code, please post here and i will help you further.

Please dont ignore the engine light issues, as it can get really serious and nasty if overlooked. You are lucky to drive for 4 months till now but please dont continue it for your safety and cars health.
