Lumina S V6 2003 fuel consumption

Hi all, anybody know how to improve fuel consumption in Lumina 2003 3800cc V6?

I find it now very thirsty. 50dhs (about 30 liters)for 85km only, in town traffic. that's within 2 days, with AC on number 2 or 3 in daytime, and 1 in night time. That's even thirstier than a 4800cc V8 SUV. I hardly use the power of its 3.8 liter engine. very seldom quick acceleration and no hard braking.. Help me

check the fuel gauge if it working. see if the fuel is getting leaked somewhere else. when was the car last serviced?

unclesam, fuel gauge is fine.. i leave my Lumi in garage for major check up and will get the reports tomorrow. i'm suspecting the o2 sensor after reading many articles about fuel consumption. Thanks for your advise, though!
