2008 Infiniti G35 Recall (Faulty Passenger Airbag)

Hope it help someone, somewhere before buying G35. I am think of buying one and found that 2 recalls have been made for 2008 model year Infiniti G35 for faulty airbag and electrical system. Make sure if you buy this year G35 then previous owner must have got these recall attended by dealer.

1st Recall: For Airbag with recall id of 80612 on Oct 7, 2008.

2nd Recall: For Electrical System: Software with recall id of 80613 on Oct 7, 2008.

Occupant classification system (OCS) control unit is faulty and not able to transmit right signal to Airbag control unit. In event of accident passenger airbag might not open due to fail to provide the correct signal to Airbag unit to let it open. Dealer will install new OCS control unit and will check for transmitting the right signal to airbag unit.
