Vibration issues

Hi people. I have the Mohave luxury 4x4 2006 and I have had issues with the vibration ever since I bought it. Even had the front axle assembly replaced but that did not help. Additionally, several rattles have now shown up resulting in an increase in my frustration. I feel that I am stuck with a vehicle which I do not enjoy driving.

A well too known problem my friend. Early production 2006 Mohaves' had some issues with vibration but the addition of a dynamic damper in later models put all that to bed. You might also need to have one installed.

Bad position to be in. I have an idea though. You said you had the assembly replaced but did the mechanic check the Propeller Shaft Joint. The universal joints and the ball joints should also be inspected for wear. The noises coming from them are different from other noises because the rhythm of the rattling is in step with the cruising speed.

i think your problem is that the ecm needs to be reset. contact the guys at kia motors and tell him that.

Sad that a lot of Mohaves' have such weird problems and Kia is just unable to fix them.

Panda ...ECM? What is that? And how will it fix the vibration?

the ecm is the computer man.. the Engine Control module ... you must reset it ... that will eliminate the vibration. it controls the drive train and every other single functioning part.

I have an 06 Mohave and I have never had any issues with vibration or the drive train. Sure it makes a few noises on rough roads but thats about it.

This is a known problem from Kia. The drive shaft and the U joint gets unbalanced. Another possibility is that the axle shaft nut may loosen up due to some play between the inside of the wheel hub and the axle shaft assembly.
